I just wanted to make this topic to notify everyone that Fantagraphics is printing five of their softcover Krazy and Ignatz volumes (1925-1934) in one beautiful 600 page, hardcover book. They only printed 1,000 copies, it will never be reprinted (in its hardcover form), and it's only available through their website and not through Diamond due to its limited run.
For those of you who don't know, Krazy Kat and Ignatz was a sunday comic strip that ran in the early 20s to 40s. It was about an asexual cat (her gender is considered female but it constantly switches from strip to strip) who has an unrequited love for a mouse in a surreal town. Krazy tries to get Ignatz to like her but usually ends up having a brick tossed at her head while the local Officer tries to arrest Ignatz for his violent attitude.
Along with Little Nemo, it was one of the first comics to be considered as an actual "work of art" rather than a childrens story. You can't call yourself a comic affeciendo unless you have this book and it's probably the best collection I've seen since the Calvin and Hobbes treasure collection and the entire Little Nemo run.
