Although we havent gotten much detail on this game, I thought I would start a thread for MGS:RISING. Yet another Metal Gear Solid game that appears to star Raiden as opposed to Solid Snake. No information has been given on this title as of yet, other than that it will most likely be on the Xbox 360 as an exclusive title. However, there is still a good chance we'll see it hit the PS3 as well.

Yeah true, but damned if I didnt want to play as an insanely overpowered Mary Sue. Here I am running at a half jog with my dinky gun going "pew pew" at enemies, when I could be doing triple backflips and cutting shit up with my sword.

Dont get me wrong, MGS4 is a great game. But damnit I wanted to play as Raiden.

Looks pretty cool. I was worried about not getting to play it for a bit, so it's good to know it'll be on the PS3.

Peace Walker also looks amazing btw. And I found it hilarious that Kojima was all like "Peace Walker is going to be a REAL MGS sequel." He's such an epic troll lol

How in MGS4, in the first 3rd of the game you're the deciding factor between the warring PMCs. I liked the new gameplay, working your way across a tumultuous battlefield and helping to capture points to facilitate your advance! I want more of that, and I don't care who I play as. If it's Raiden, so be it, but I'd much rather play Johnny Sasaki than Raiden again. I loved MGS2 (even placed 2nd in a time attack competition Tips and Tricks magazine had) but I don't care for Raiden as a protagonist.

Yeah, that was some pretty awesome shit.

I highly doubt that Rising or Peace Walker will either be like that though. Rising is going to be "STAB STAB STAB KILL KILL KILL" (Not a bad thing imo), and Peace Walker looks like it's going to be a lot more like the earlier MGS games (Also not a bad thing).

I'd love to see another game like MGS4, but I don't think it's going to happen with the MGS series.
