So here we go, we got yet another animated Marvel movie for tv. This time Iron Man!

Now, i don't know that much about Iron Man, other than that i think he is the coolest looking super hero ever, and i was having a pretty awful day so i figured it'd be fun to watch this.

Overall it wasn't terrible, its probably one the VERY few made-for-tv animated movies i liked. But once again we get this flaw that Toonami and 4 kids always put in everything they put together.

LEAVE JAPAN OUT OF THE PICTURE, DAMMIT!

American comic should be about american culture (at the very least european).

Now, maybe Iron Man had some asian ties, i don't know that for sure, but i watched several of the Iron Man cartoon episodes, and to me it felt like a more science-based series, not this magic and demons crap they threw in there.

Honestly, i don't know why the license holders let them do this to their story lines.

Eh, maybe im wrong, somebody want to fill me in?

i watched 20 min of it...then i changed the channel. it was the scene with him talking about her destiny. too corny...

i did like that liquid metal bit.

but MAN, was there a lot of killing. that crazy terrorist guy was pissing me off...if they were a resistant group trying to prevent a dynasty of crazy evil stuff, why the hell were they evil themselves? or put a psycho guy in charge?

It's not Japan; it's China.

Anyway, The Ferrous Fellow's origins are steeped heavily in the Far East. More specifically, the jungles of Vietnam, where a young Tony Stark was doing military research. He was captured by the warlord Wong Chu, and created the Iron Man suit with the help of a man named Ho Yin Sen.

Similarly, one of his greatest enemies has been the Mandarin, whose name tells you off the bat that he's Chinese. The movie changes a lot about him (in the comics he's a modern-day crimelord with crazy magic powers).

Expect more Asia-based shenanigans in the future, as Marvel's next animated venture will be the origins of Dr. Strange, who learned the beginnings of his mystical teachings in the Far East.
