I just had an interview at BROKEN FRONTIER where we discussed a lot of more general topics, especially print vs. web comics and superheroics. I know this is NOT the place for self-promotion, and if the mods want to delete it I'll certainly understand. But I think enough issues are brought up about webcomics in general where I think it might be of more general interest.

Eh, I disagree with the statements in this interview for a lot of reasons. Marvel and DC might tone down things to mainstream, but Image publishes all kinds of crazy stuff like "Casanova". Plus those creators get paid based on how much they sell. In my point of view your comic wouldn't sell purely for the fact that the art isn't up the quality of most printed comics. But I agree that these crossovers are kind of ridiculous in mainstream comics these days.

Also Comics Conventions keep growing every year and there are a lot of kids at the college age who read comics. However I don't know any aging baby boomers who read comics.

Nah, my local comic shop went out of business cause it was run badly. And yeah, I got that you're an aging baby boomer from the interview. But from what it seems like from going to conventions is that the majority of comics fans are in the 15-30 range and the conventions just keep growing. Sales for all comics might be going down slightly, but that's because of internet piracy and the fact that there are just so many more companies these days publishing stuff. Image puts out tons of books every month, and gets by because the creators are allowed freedom. Anyway the Internet has potential I think for comics, especially through WOWIO, but too many of the comics out there are really bad. No Need for Bushido is the only one I read regularly anymore.
