My comic was 'locked' by the DD admin into A=adult.
Noticed it about a week ago.

My comic, SFA, was designed as "M"=mature. It has adult humor, but there is no full nudity or displayed sex. No female or male genitals are ever displayed, and neither are their racial slurs within it.

By the definition of Adult comics on DD, "A" ratings would be perfect for erotic/sexual/porno comics.

I have nothing against that from of artwork, it’s just not what I do.

I have seen LOTS of comics here on DD that deserve “A” ratings, but are still tagged as M. I don't really care, and if I ever disapprove of a comic, I just don't read it.

To be fair, then all comics that display nudity or full sex scenes should be locked into "A".
You won't find any such scene in SFA and that’s why I don't agree with the ruling from the admin. I believe that such things are unjust; lets call it down the middle, guys.

Let me know if there is someone I can contact about this, so that my comic can be returned to M rating.

PS: I prefer that the DD admins like ozoneocean & SPANG answer my question, not other DD mmembers who have 'opinions'. Noticed that often artists post 'what they think' , even when it won't change anything.

if you wanted specifically ozone and spang to answer your questions, couldn't you have pm'ed them instead of making a topic and stating that you don't want answers from other members?

and about who to talk to about bringing your comic down to an 'M', you would need to talk to either ozone, spang, or skoolmonkee (who is on vacation).

I think because they're the admins of the whole thing (DD).

I don't know, it's been a while since I've seen it, usually because of reported comments. Perhaps those sorts of things are the reason for the rating? I'm speculating here.

Yikes, keep it adult rated. I too have seen some M comics that need to be A, but the authors just trying to avoid the warning and rated thumbnail- rather then respect the ages here.

It's our procedure (the Admins) to contact you before we set a rating usually. Or, at the very least, change the rating and contact you as to why.

However, I noticed your comic getting a lot of play on the top ten lists, so someone from PS with Executive abilities may have changed it.

That said, I really don't think it was unwarranted. The comic is pretty adult themed.

Your comic is pretty adult themed, although technically speaking I find it an M comic for the most part. Having a comic based around sex isn't a bad thing, but it does put you at risk of having your rating bumped up. Keep in mind the ratings are mainly just informational labels- there's no real way to restrict access to a comic if a reader wants to falsify their account, etc.

This is the page that earned you an A and I did leave a comment- although I admit I should have sent you a PQ instead. Sorry, I'm not sure why I didn't.

Basically, it's extremely sexualized and more or less counts as a softcore porno image. It isn't even drawn, or a comic page (you'd have a much stronger case for an M rating if scenes like that were contextualized within the comic). Basically, it seemed to me like you were pushing the acceptability level within the rating, and that's a game I don't play. :)

I'm not sure how many other stripclub photo comics you've got in your archive, but if you remove that one (and any other comparable ones, you can PQ me with their URLs if you want to know whether some can stay or go) I'm happy to change it back to M.
