Have any of you ever come up with a character design, started drawing said character for a while, then some time later you see a real person that looks like your character! It hasn't happened to me often but it is really weird when it does.

No one has a big white afro like Garret does and Sid is kidna supposed to look the part of an everyman. So not really for me. It'd be cool though.

No, but I've met people with the same name as my characters the day after I wrote the story they were in.

It was kind of weird.

The only other Garret Jax was apparently in a Terry Brooks novel. But apparently they hold no similarites so all is good in the hood. And there be no Sid's.

There was someone with an avatar who looked exactly like what I envisioned 1 of my main charas looked like. I didn't save the pic at the time and I sorely regretted it when that person changed the avatar, and never came back to the same forum.

I tracked that person down via internet stalking techniques, and asked that person nicely for the avatar pic. I prefaced my PM with I am not a stalker.

Note to self: Mlai is a stalker... Be wary of him <_<

Well... I added traits of various friends into my characters... So, there're built in resemblances.

As for resemblances after the fact, well I found this pic online a couple of years ago...


And family and friends keep telling me that they "saw" Pinky at such and such a place... Women who're the spitting image of her in facial features, the way they stand, and even almost in the way they dress! o_O
-Not of course in pants with no bum in them though.

I've never seen one of these "Pinky" women for myself. I did see a woman dressed almost exactly as Cc though, she even had exactly the same shoes, the piercings and even the exact hairstyle! -all she was missing was the heart on the crotch.
The trouble was though, that she was about 62! ...so the face didn't quite match and seeing a skinny 60+ year old woman with silicone-enhanced pointy breasts, and dressed in exactly Cc's young woman's sexy gear was a real mindf**k...

No... but I have met several people who shared the same name as my characters... and personality.

Yeah, all the time, but I designed my characters to look pretty average and have a wide variety in the cast. One of them is a fair-skinned, thin woman with medium-long straight black hair. She could be 30% of the women on earth. Another is tall and tan with blonde hair and a curvy build. She's every woman on the beaches of California...

Not really. Sometimes I have seen people resembling some of my characters, but never spitting images, like Ozone's Pinky!

It's hard to meet someone who looks like Jovi what with the blue hair and giant facial scar, but Arnok is just an old guy in a white t-shirt with long hair. Like an aged hippy.

Many of the names in my comic Shades are nods to comic creators I admire. The central character, Stan, is named after Mr Lee himself.

He wasn't necessarily supposed to look like his namesake and I don't do the artwork; but even people who don't know where the names come from have pointed out a certain similarity between my Stan and Stan Lee.

I think I see Nadya everywhere. If there's a white girl with black hair ( not many on campus), she looks a little bit like Nadya.

There's also a blond girl that I always see, and wouldn't mind making into a character...=P

Our characters are meant to look like/be everyday average people. That said, however, I've never met or ran across anyone who was a "perfect match" for either of the blasian (Black/Asian) sisters, Sapphira and Brielle. I've seen some that were close in body type/height, facial features and hairstyle, but not mixed race. That would be very cool, though! :)

I rarely notice people who look like my characters on the internet, and I have never noticed someone walking around who does. But seriously, how often do guys grow out their hair really long AND have bangs?

A few of my characters are based on real people, so those don't count. Like most of the Skaeya in 20 Galaxies. There's a handful that aren't, though, like Kevin.

When I started a new shift at work I met a guy that looks like this character. He even has the same interests as the character. And wouldn't you know - the guy's name is Kevin!

Hm... Alot of my characters in Heaven vs Hell seem share names with Biblical characters... I mean, come on: Mike, Gabe, and Ralph are practically the same as Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael! And then there's that guy, Jesus. What gives him the right to have the same name as my character?

He only looks a little like Jack due to the hair and pale skin....but it's such a rarity that I thought I'd bring him up anyway. Plus they seem to share the same fashion tastes. XP
