Depends on the medium and what type. For three to six panel comic strips I prefer humor because you really can't get across any action or drama in such a limited space. And continuations in strips don't really work well. For lengthier comics I choose action just because it keeps you more involved if it has an actual plot.

I.. I like them all. It depends on the comic and my mood that day. Sometimes I want humor, sometimes I want drama. Action is always good, I guess.

lol! That was a completely unhelpful answer.

It does to vary with the genre: Due East is RL, so I tend to lean towards drama with humor interjected as needed/wanted/appropriate.

When I did superhero comics, I used all three as needed.

In a comic book/story, I could not stand anything that was all or too heavily any one of those things. It should contain all three. The drama pulls the emotion and the action keeps it lively. And I can't stand anything without a bit of humor in it (appropriate and fitting into the storyline). And my personal preference is stories with generally lighter moods that turn severe at times. I think the "mood" of a story depends on the characters. Dump a different cast into the exact same situation and the mood will be entirely different. (I like upbeat/funny/sarcastic characters in dismal situations.)

I also enjoy a good comic strip -- humor only. ;) It's hard to create deep emotional stories in 3 or 4 panels, and who would want that? Comic strips exist for a quick laugh, IMO.

All is my vote, even though my current focus is humor.

Webcomics are just a storytelling medium - why should they only tell certain kinds of stories?

What we need is more variety - not less.

That is all cool, I appretiate good ation and drama in a comic also, and it is interesting, I thought a bit more people would be for humor, but I guess not!

The best comic is a comic with all three of these elements, really. Think about it. If it's nothing but action, it'll get boring really fast. If it's nothing but humor, eventually the jokes will become stale and old. If the comic is overly serious, it'll become unbearingly laughable.

Therefore, a good comic is a comic with humor, drama and action evenly spaced out. That way, it makes things more balanced. You could do twofers as well, using humor and drama, drama and action, or action and humor. It still makes the comic more varied, however, it's probably good to use all three of these, in order to enhance creativity.
