Immortality in Webcomics

For a crossover event I'm going to do, it would help if I knew the answer to a question---is there any webcomic you're aware of (DD or not) where people achieve immortality---not born with it, like some view elves or gods, but take a treatment, potion, what-have-you to BECOME immortal? Thanks in advance! ---Al of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com
Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com ---think the superhero genre is mined out?
Think there are no new superhero ideas?
Think again.

Well, there are comics were people get turned into Vampires, which in turn makes them immortal. (Charby the Vampirate, Danielle Dark, etc). In my comic, magick?, you can become immortal by being doused in one of the Chaos springs, but that's assuming it doesn't kill you. (Lots of people die from the exposure. Those who live gain immortality. And a fun new shape.)

The three core characters in Shades (Doug, the Shaman and Boo) have pretty much achieved immortality.
The pages which explain how this came to be (well, okay, as far as immortality can be explained!) have not yet been posted at DD, but I can point you in the right direction if you're interested.

A WW2 fighter pilot, a First Century warrior queen and a prehistoric shaman. Oh, and their tailor. These are not your common-or-garden heroes! [..]

In Brymstone, the main character, who was born human, achieved immortality of a sort through a demonic deal which imparted him with a halfsoul of a demon. His immortality isn't perfect, but its usually good enough to let him continue to cause a lot of trouble. Immortality and what it does to a person is actually something I do want to explore over the course of the story. If yer interested in talking about it further, send me a PQ.

When I hear immortal I think cannot die but more and more seem to place it in AGELESS.
Anyway, I'll have both kinds as my story progresses.

In my comic Guys 'n' Ghouls, the characters can achieve immortality by becoming Samhain, but the process is difficult.

I have not had a chance to put this in my comic about it yet, but I will someday.
In my story, (see link at bottom of post), the ruling class, the Endless Kings are immortal. When they die, they "jump" out of their husk and into the body of the closest person, destroying their mind and taking over. Jumping can be triggered by simply loosing consciousness, so the kings cannot be contained by being drugged into a coma. They keep their memories and gain the memories of the person they inhabit, while they are in that body. Once they jump out, the old body is mindless and soon dies.
Some kings jump into a fresh new young healthy body every day. Others age them out, like an old shoe.
The emperor who controls the alien device that grants immortality, is a ruthless, arch conservative and that is the kind of person he promotes to king.
Imagine a world where Bush and Cheney, Putin and Mao, never die, they just rule their respective countries for millennium.
