I'm having an issue with the format of my images in my web comic. Apparently, the load times for the images themselves suck. I'm using a jpeg format, but I was wondering if there was some other faster format I could use for them.
Anyone?

Jpeg is the best- It's your compression that is the problem. You can get a 500k jpeg size down to 200k with NO loss in image quality- you do this by saving as in your image editing program and lowering the file size on that pop-up.
The other ones are gif and the hated png:
Gif loses color. And png is just plain terrible with file size, the only ones using it are people with mspaint or the ones who simply dont know anything about image formating.(the funny part is that most use it because their afraid to lose image quality-but then it actually makes detailed pics look worse :) )
Well hope I helped, jpeg for sure.

I used PNG for the first two comics, but like a twist of fate, I used JPEG for my third comic just before posting this topic!
Thanks a bunch!
