And Adrien Brody could pull off David Baker well:

<3 Adrien Brody.

He would so totally be cast as one of my characters - heck, he could be Archie! They've got the same sort of nose - and even if he didn't fit, he'd still be in the movie. 'Cause you know, it's Adrien Brody. Adrien Brody is love.
The Continued Misadventures of Bonebird - a poor bird's quest for the ever-elusive and delicious apples.

My thought exactly. But I'm so very glad he also has David's nose. XD He's excellent.

...loved him in 'The Jacket'. His character's personality partly inspired Dave. (among others)

Okay, people, help me out! I just can't think of which current actors would be good as the Due East characters. So, I'll post their artistically rendered mugs here and you let me know who would be good to cast, okay? Thanks!

Sapphira Hu (Black/Asian - Brielle's sister)

Brielle Mills (Black/Asian - Sapphira's sister)

Carolyn Maye (Hispanic/White - Brielle's best friend)

Doug Hu (Asian/White - Sapphira and Brielle's dad)

Crystal Mills (Black - Sapphira and Brielle's mom)

Allen S., co-author/artist

Live actors, hey? Well, lessee...

Hyo-jin Kong as Mai-Lee

Christy Hemme as Brynn

Natalie Portman as Abby

As for supporting cast, well, I think I'd need more time to think about it.

I'd rather chose unknown actors to play my characters from my comic.

Hmmm... well, let's see.

I think the obvious choice for Simon would be Brian O'Halloran (Clerks).

People have mentioned the resemblance already, and he can play befuddled. If Bruce Campbell was a bit younger, I'd pick him.

The mysterious Visitor (his name hasn't been revealed yet) would probably be a CGI character, with motion capture work by Andy Serkis (of course). His voice would be played by Alan Rickman, however. That's the voice I hear when I do his dialog.

For the rest of the cast, I can't really think of anyone right now.

Off the top of my head:

Alison Lohman as Naomi Bowman:

Jennifer Connelly as Bombshell:

I realize Jennifer Connelly is actually about ten years too old to play the part. (The same applies to Alison Lohman; but in this case it's not a hindrance since she looks ten years younger than she actually is.)

I'm pretty sure Janine Habeck can't act to save her life, but she would also make a perfect Bombshell stand-in:

As of right now (With the 4 charachters in my comic) (If everyone were just a WEE bit younger, around 16 or 17)
Zach Braff (Scrubs) or Zachary Levi (Chuck) As Zack

Myself as John (I'm not really sure who would do a good John, maybe some uknown)

And Shia LeBouf as Lonely Steve.

Still thinking about who would make a good erik. His character is still developing..

Abt: Alison would do GREAT as Naomi :) It's probably mostly about the crazy red hair, which is identical with Naomi's - but she a cutie, too :)

Allen: The closest that comes to mind is Moon Bloodgood (Rita of "Day Break")

Not quite it, but close, I think?

Isla Fisher as The Surrealist.
Paul Rudd as the voice of Eddie, the book.

That's all I've got so far. Do you hear me Hollywood?

Well, I have an almost completely new cast in issue 3 and tons of work to procrastinate, so here goes...

Bulletproof: Seed of Evil

Casper Van Dien as Vector

Still clearly my choice for this guy. I need someone as square-jawed as possible who isn't above playing a total douchebag here, so Van Dien it is.

Kristen Bell as Shyft

She usually plays more likeable characters, but that's exactly why I'd cast her as Shyft. You think she's cute and you want to flirt with her, and then she puts a bullet between your eyes.

Steve Bacic as Hornet

He played the asskicker/boyscout in season 4 of Andromeda, and, well, he's beefy.

Neil Patrick Harris as Firewing

I can't really think of anyone else except Carrot Top, and that's not really an option. And Harris actually did Peter Parker's voice before, so he's got... y'know... cred.

Michael Clarke Duncan as Ravage

Kinda the obvious choice here, but we need that booming black man's voice for Ravage. He'd have to be a CGI character anyway, actually, so it doesn't matter that Duncan's almost big enough for the part, it's really just the voice.

Kelly Hu as Shadow

Short of going the blatantly obvious route and casting Lucy Liu, seriously... who else? She kicked all kinds of ass in X2, she's Asian, and she's hot. Sold.

Alec Baldwin as Alexander Quinn

You know that overbearing asshole he played in Glengarry Glen Ross? Bingo. I know he's way too famous for a part like this, but Alec Baldwin IS Alexander Quinn.

Ali Larter as Fang

She's actually not quite curvy enough, but we need a cool blonde here who's strikingly beautiful and can play a psycho killer. You've seen Heroes, right? There you go.

Thora Birch as Darkspot

She can act, she's got the look, and well damn, she's practically wearing the outfit in this pic.

Roselyn Sanchez as Tarantula

Hot latina + supermodel body = Tarantula.

Eric Roberts as the voice of Widowmaker

Widowmaker's obviously an all-CGI character, so looks don't matter, and Eric Roberts can do slightly campy one-liners with the best of 'em.

Matthew Gray Gubler as Mouse

This was a tough one. "Slightly creepy but not entirely unlikeable" is what we're looking for here, and Gubler's character in Criminal Minds is pretty much that.

Evan Handler as Jackborg

Not skinny enough, really, but he's short and bald and when he played that lawyer on 24, he was the creepy guy who you wanted to punch in the face within 10 seconds of meeting him, and that's how people are supposed to feel about Jackborg.

Myla Leigh Chenoa as Nyx

I don't know if she can act, but she looks almost exactly right. Plus, come on, you want to see her in that outfit. Heh.

Liv Tyler as Mindmistress (I just hope she could act well enough to portray a mentally challenged woman as Lorelei...sometimes playing someone with mental defiencies is more challening than playing a genuis.) MM's voice is more like Jodie Foster's, Lorelei's more like early Sissy Spacek.

Winona Rider as Vicki.

Brad Pitt as Bloodlust.

Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com ---think the superhero genre is mined out?

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Think again.

Oooh, this is a fun thread :D I haven't really given much thought to casting, so let's see if I could pull some out of my butt here:

(lots of unknowns/models. ooooooops >>)

For starters, the lead Jenny Kvalko would be Tarina Young .
Two of the three other major protagonists, Julie Ethans and Cyrus Zanner (old page wtf) would be Anna Donne and Lawrence Rook , respectively.
Bjel Kutuzov would be Roman Seefeldt , hands down. If Sam Musk had a bigger nose he'd be a good match for Hugh Anderson .

To move on to more minor characters, Rochelle Arthurs would make a good Zuri Astle if she didn't dye her hair, and a longer-haired Scott Hinds would be Kendall Hammel . (time to switch to dA links lol) Hikaru Kitamura would be best complimented by Anne Suzuki and much as I dislike KAT-TUN, Kamenashi Kazuya is the only possible match for Hokori Miyamoto . (Geez he doesn't even really have to act...)

I'm at a total loss for the rest hahaha. Calder Redwell's giving me a particularly hard time >>;

My movie would be in CG.

So yeah.

I don't know what voices would fit what characters, but I know one thing,

ArcHound's voice would be potrayed by David Hayter (Voice of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid)

A Kerslash movie would be insane!

I would cast Olivia Munn as Paige:

She takes tai kwan do, so I think she could pull it off

I think Eliza Dushku would make a good Erika the viking. She would just have to gain a little weight for the role, and she'd have to wear a lot of make up and eyeliner:

without buttcheecks, it's just a hole.
