2. If you had a theme song for your comic/strip which artist would write/perform it.
3. Briefly explain your choice.
so here goes...
My Strip is 'The Anti-Adventures of Slackman'... basically about a 'super powered being' who'd rather sit on his butt than actually be a hero.
His theme would be performed by The Voodoo Glow Skulls (Ska core with a fat catchy horn riff).
Something that's easy to hum along too. It sticks in your head. Really catchy but at the same time sloppy and a little edgy.

1. It's a fantasy manga. 'nuff said. (actually not really, but I'd end up writing a huge tl;dr paragraph if I tried to explain it any more than that.)
2. It would have to be "Must Be Dreaming" by Frou Frou
3. The first time I ever heard that song, I thought "holy crap this is perfect for my comic". lol.

Mine is YO! Comix, I guess it's a stoner buddy adventure humor type thing, 2 friends and various cameos and their zany adventures through hell, wyoming, new mexico, best buy, and teeny bopper dance clubs.
Theme song by Dropkick Murphys "Flannigans Ball" or a Song written by me and performed by Reel Big Fish.
Dropkick Murphys are very upbeat and they use bagpipes and the Irish Punk sound would compliment it very well.
Reel Big Fish's sound would also compliment the mood of my comic very well.

A hard metal version of the 1966 Batman theme. Same tune and words, but in the voice that makes my throat hurt. BATMAN!
Pretty much for all my comics. Not that they're Batman themed or heavy metal-ish, but insanity is a recurring theme, and part of my quirky personality involves trying to sing the Batman theme like that. Fits in my mind.

Why? Cuz its about a struggle and holding your ground.
I can't do this on my own,
Can't stand alone against these foes, I need you to hold on
Do we stay down, drown in mud
Accept this is fate, have we gone faithless?
Do we just die, run away from crisis, have we gone hopeless?
I Can't do this on my own,
Can't stand alone against these foes, I need you to hold on, I need you to hold…
Hold your line, stand your ground
One by one we'll take you down

1. Mmm... well, it's still in the works and I don't want to give anything away but the name: Papercut
2. BOWLING FOR SOUP =D (hey, Jimmy Neutron and Phineas and Ferb can't go wrong!)
3. "Can I Buy You a Drink?" originally by Hoobastank

Briefly explain your choice.
1. Raising Hell is a light real life inspired comic about my two little boys Adam and Noor and how they're life's way of getting back at me for putting my parents through hell as a kid.
2. Hm, I'd say Talking Heads' - Burning Down the House. Appropriate.
3. Well, they are going to be burning down the house eventually, just give them time ;).

3. Briefly explain your choice.
1. My comics Fight and Fight_2 are sci-fi/ fantasy/ adventure/ mystery comics about different groups of people in the same situation. They all awoke on a desolate alien planet without memories and with only the clothes on their backs. The stories are about what they do from that point on.
2. I have several but for this post I'll say Heaven's Not Enough sung by Steve Conte.
I saw so many things
But like a dream
Always losing me in a cloud
Cause i couldn't cry
Cause i turned away
Couldn't see the score
Didn't know the pain
Of leaving yesterday really far behind
In another life
In another dream
By a different name
Gave it all away
For a memory
And a quiet lie
And i felt the face
Of a cold tonight
Still don't know the score
But i know the pain
Of leaving everything really far behind
And if i could cry
And if i could live what truth i did then take me there
Heaven goodbye
3. I 1st heard the song from the anime Wolf's Rain. The desolate atmosphere and journey-like pace of Wolf's Rain is similar to that of my comics. The lyrics also fit.

Mine is a collection of little misfits and nutters who also happen to be chewing gum. Given the non-sequitur nature of the comic and the hyperactive behavior of it's inhabitants I'd have to go with the song Kicking Pigeons by .

1. My comic is basically about the everyday lives of my 5 main characters and, every now and then, the support characters.
2. Uh, I would pick "Good Morning" by Kanye West, or at least part of it.
3. I think this song is interesting because it's almost like an everyday song. If my comic was a tv show, this song could start off with my characters, say... waking up for the featured day ahead.

Hmmm - since my comic is very much about what it means to be British, it would have to be something by a British artist and, since I'm a lifelong Bowie fan, he would have to be my first choice.
As for the actual track, Heroes would be the obvious choice (the story being about faded and would-be heroes) but there are other possibilities (e.g. Scary Monsters) and I could definitely imagine The Bewlay Brothers playing as the closing credits roll!
Damn. Now I'm going to have to spend the rest of the day playing all my old albums!

A WW2 fighter pilot, a First Century warrior queen and a prehistoric shaman. Oh, and their tailor. These are not your common-or-garden heroes! [..]

1. silencethecomic. basically it's a comic with no words that I leave open to the interpretation of the reader. so if I told you what I think about it, I'd be skewing your perception.
2. probably something from Joe Satriani. I have a ton of his CDs, but it's so hard to just pick one song...;)
3. most of his songs are instrumental, so it fits the wordless theme well. plus, the guy's basically the Chuck Norris of guitar solos.

1) 20 Galaxies) Four kids are given superpowers to save the universe.
The Many Misfortunes of Lady Luck) The living concept of luck has to go work for evil incarnate to regain her lost memory and powers.
2/3) I write my own soundtracks. Most of the songs I put up are never totally done because I don't know anything about recording =( I have most of the works I've made up at the audio section of my SA gallery.
But if I had to pick someone else's music -
20G) Prologue from the Lady in the Water soundtrack. It's got a little bit of the eerie, mystical atmosphere like I tried to put in the comic but not too creepy.
Lady Luck) I had the main character singing Looking In by Mariah Carey in the first version, because I thought the lyrics fit Luck and her situation. Then again, Luck Be a Lady would have to be thrown in there somewhere just for fun =p

1) Times Like This - about a young lady who discovers the secret to time travel.
2) "Time Has Come Today" - The Ramones cover version, actually
3) Not many rock songs about time traveling, and I really didn't want anything from the Back To The Future soundtrack... I just love this song (especially the Ramones version of it).

PUTRID MEAT's about a dirty asshole named bones who disposes of dead bodies for serial killers among other things.
the theme song would probably be ANTHRAX-MILK
it doesnt really have anything to do with putrid, it's actualy an ode to Billy Milano. but it's so damn up the wall i could see it making a damn cool opening song for putrid with a bunch of crazy animimation sequences and stuff. i think it gave me some ideas for one of the chapters where Bones is halucinating and getting chased by monsters and shit like that.

In Brian & Bobbi Brian was born with superpowers that no one ever seemed to notice. Bobbi is the illigitimate daughter of a superhero and can't seem to convince anyone she's just a regular teenage girl.
I figured it's theme song would be Superboy and Supergirl by Tullycraft because it's a catchy song that kind of suits the tone of the series. Plus...
Superboy’s got his problems,
And Girl’s got her hang-ups
And I know that it can’t be easy to be
Superboy in a messed up world, these days
Or a Supergirl in a thankless world, these days

1) The Golem Project is a comic set in a shallow and money-driven world where artificial beings, created to be a company's must-have product, are found to possess
sentience of their own, and have to face the danger of being labled defective stock.
2) I wrote a lot of 'The Golem Project' to the Gorillaz song 'Kids with Guns' and some point last year, so I suppose that's it, though there's also a lot of Muse listened to as well, so it's a tie.
3) Well 'Kids with Guns' captures the bleakness and feeling of oppression in the city of Corvus that I'm going for in the story.
