If I could make a game I guess I'd make one based on my comics. Both of them.
It would require an unconventional game design with extremely robust AI, because all the characters must be fully interactive with the player in all aspects of social and political simulation. Kinda like what Shenmue wants to achieve if only it could.
The basic game world would kinda be like Shadow of the Colossus + Big Game Hunter.

Ah, RPG Maker... Good times...
Currently focusing on an RPG2003 game. The side view battle system was to good to pass up.
But if I could make any game, I'd probally love to see a smash bros. type square enix game. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Chrono, Kingdom Hearts and all that.

I had the original RPG maker and I had everything set up but I couldn't connect areas. Couldn't figure it out. Twas based on a book I had started to write even before Mercs. Now if I were to do a game it'd be based off Mercs. Sidwarrious and Garret Jax as playable characters, it'd be fun and I could write the story for the game to serve as a side story to delve deeper. And actually I had a friend goin' into game development who planned on doing it for me, but he dropped out of school. Nuts.

I've actually been slowly piecing together an MMORPG together in my head for years now. I really think it would be awesome, if I would ever actually make it.

I'd love to make one based upon Chaos Emeralds Z. It would totally rock.
I'd also like to make a Shade the Hedgehog game, where you get to play from the viewpoints of all of the characters. It would be an Action RPG/Platformer. It would be amazing to work on.
And Manhunt's a sick, psychotic game where you have to suffocate children by putting plastic bags over their heads. Don't get it.

Who cares if it's sick and sadistic? No one is getting hurt. Cuz children can't feel pain. If they could the things I do to them in my basement would count as torture. And that's not nice!

Holy crap.
What's the premise for this game again? Are you just some psycho who escaped out of an institution into a free-roaming world, or does this game actually patch together some sort of excuse?

I didn't wanna correct him on that point though. Too often when people take moral standpoints on things you get really empassioned and no logic so I avoided it and just suggested playing. Never played it myself though. Heard it was actually fun though.

One game I would really like to make is a free roaming medieavel/ anime RPG game that isn't for the Xbox360 or the PS3some. You could make your own charecter and have a choice of follwing for than 15 storylines and ithe game will 85 endings too. And to add another touch you can start families in the game either by adoption or by marriage. That would be awesome if they made a videogame like that in real life. I would by it as soon as it came out.

Wii couldn't handle that much content without sacrificing graphics. Also, games like that generally don't work with the Wiimote.
And if anyone says anything about it to me, he's the one who started it with the "Xbox360 or PS3some" comment.

True, he started it, but I dont' think he meant it in the needlessly pessimistic "these systems couldn't handle it" sort of way so much as "I don't own these systems so I don't want this game to exist in a way that I can't play it". That or he wanted motion sensitive adoption mechanics.

There are a number of game ideas I've thought about working on in the past, it's just too bad I don't have any programming experience beyond some simple database building in C++.
The first one was a 2D side-scrolling platform shooter. It was in a scifi setting and had elements of the more recent Castlevania and classic Metroid games with large areas you could backtrack through and had to get certain items to progress to new areas, except instead of just being one large level, the game was split into five smaller areas. There was more story planned for the game, as well, with multiple endings and even a few areas that were only accessible based on the decisions you made previously in the game. In addition, once you played through the game once, you unlocked two other characters to play through with, each with their own storylines (plus they would play through the stages in a different order and would have different requirements to advance). The gameply would actually be more like Metal Slug with a lot of run and gun, but the real highlight would be the vehicular combat. In some areas, the characters could jump into aircraft or ground vehicles to get a little extra firepower and/or speed. Aircraft could do impact damage, so you could actually bail out and let them crash into something. Building were destructable in a sort of "Rampage" style, plus you could go into them and there would be a psuedo 3D method of exploring.
A friend of mine wanted to work on programming for the game, but we never came to terms on how much work we would do for it (he wanted to just make something cheap and easy to say he could do it, I wanted to make a game that was fun), so it never came to be.
After that, I started to work on my own ideas, which I just compiled in an old message board (that was unfortunately attacked by hackers and all of my writings were lost). One was a 2D Free Roaming Brawler. It took some ideas from games like River City Ransom, but would play like a more combo heavy version of Capcom's AD&D arcade games. It used the same ring system for inventory, but characters could swap weapons on the fly during combos (I swear I thought of this years before Heavenly Sword did it). You would level up through a normal RPG-style process of gaining experience through combat, but you could also learn new moves, spells, and weapon proficiencies through trainers in town. While there would be generic weapons that could be bought in town, the game would also be littered with unique weapons with their own attributes and stats. The game would support multiplayer coop, although there would be no way for two people to find the same weapons in the game. Like AD&D, there would be a number of different character classes, although it would also have different genders for each offering some variety in move sets and stats. If I ever do get around to making the game, I'd also like to make it so that different armor type apear on the characters. This may work better if the game has a presentation similar to Ragnarok Battle Offline.
another game I've considered is a scifi RPG based on the idea of cowboys vs ninja. I've debated about whether such a game would work better as a tactical RPG or an action RPG, but the basic premise is that each battle would take place in a room and just about everything in the room could be used in various ways. For instance, a table could be flipped and used as cover, if an enemy approach, it could be tipped over to cause damage. A carpet could be pulled out from under an enemy to knock them down and create an opening for an attack of opportunity. Plates and silverware could be picked up and thrown, etc, etc. The game would also have a fairly complex cover system which allows for blind fire (with reduced accuracy) and would also factor in hit rates based on how characters are moving. With the tactical RPG idea, the player could build teams and the game would play out kind of like a more complex version of Xcom. Characters would have a certain number of base action points they could expend. Not using all of them would make their next turn come up sooner. There would be a number of dodge, run, and cover commands which could add a lot of depth to the gameplay, plus item could have any number of actions associated with them. If I went the action RPG route, though, while I could still leave in most of the actions through certain button presses, items would likely have only two uses. The game would alo use teams of four and could support multiplayer ala X-men Legends. Characters could also perform attack combos and special moves with their equipped weapons, including juggling enemies in the air with your guns. Guns and weapons could also be equipped with elemental ammo.
Right now, I'm working on the planning stages for a 2D fighter. I'm finding that most of the existing engines out there don't really support the features I want to include, though, so who knows if I'll ever get past the planning stage. I definitely don't want to skimp on the gameplay, though.

Well I also wanted to make a boardgame that was basically Star Wars + Dungeon Dice Monsters. Basically because I felt the DDM system was really cool, but the game pieces were such horrid expensive crap.
I even devised a lightsaber-dueling subsystem that involved cards.
In the end, I think 1 of my primary motivations was really to draw illustrations for the game manual and to draw all the dueling cards.

The AD&D thing I didn't like.
which one, because quite honestly, I haven't seen a 2D brawler deeper than Shadow Over Mystara. It had a great combo system, swapable weapons, class-based skills that actually made it worthwhile to play multiplayer, branching pathways, secret rooms, spells and special items, equipable accessories, dodges, blocking, and the ever handy slide that picks up everything in your path. It even had a simple item crafting element where some enemies would drop items which could be used to make better weapons or armor and two costumes for each character. To get all this out of a system as limited as the CPS2 was pretty amazing for the time.
Besides, I'm seeing some common elements in the games you're listing, except for Capcom's AD&D games. You sure you're not referring to another game based on the franchise, like Dungeons & Dragons Heroes? Capcom's games played nothing like Gauntlet or Baldur's Gate.

Gauntlet and B's G are nothing compared to Capcom AD&D sweet goodness. I was really aiming to get the import collection for my Saturn, no matter the cost. The thing that stopped me was the negative reviews for the Saturn port. It talked about poor loading etc etc.
