The "puppet" owls look bigger, so I'm gonna assume that they're the parents and that weird stance of theirs is some sort of Owl intimidation tactic.
It looks as is that mouse is not gonna fit. Do owls normally eat their prey whole or is he just hastily chowing it down because the camera man is frightening him?

I don't really find it creepy, just really cool looking. It reminds me of a weird Japanese dance I saw while I was there.

If I'm right those are Barn Owls so yeah, they usually swallow food whole if it's small enough. That's why they regurgitate owl pellets like they do. I think that one just over-estimated his abilities or something.

All the better to grab that rodent while they fly over at full speed. Barn owls are often mistaken for anything in flight but a barn owl
In flight they look HUGE! And a lot like mothman. ;)

i have a pic of an owl that sleeps in my window that is the size of my hand, very small little thing but he is soooo creepy how he turns his head and makes those calling sounds all night to the point i have to scare him away. i gots a pic of him and the cam gave him red eye in the pic so it looks freaken evil
