There actually is a Star Wars Christmas Special. I didn't believe it either. Now I don't believe it actually aired. Because it's so extensively boring and, well, yeah. I needed to go lie down after watching half of it because I felt so braindead. It has nothing to do with Christmas. The fight scenes are clipped from the movies. It centers upon Chewbacca's family so it's just twenty minutes at a time of waaararararararrararararrararar.... awawaraararrararar... And the intermission is some type of trippy blurry mermaid dance. Oh, there were so many things wrong with it I was really contemplating destroying that only copy I found. With my teeth.
Don't get me wrong, I really loved the 70's starwars because it was so campy. This, I did not need to see.

I'm taking this from someone who was watching it, the only way it could redeem itself is if Vader did the choke on Santa.

That's why George Lucas wanted all the tapes destroyed, and I believed it got banned 'cause it was so bad. I still want to see it, you can buy the DVD easily over the web somewhere.

Never before in my life had I felt so sad and depressed. I literally wanted to roll over and die before even 40 minutes of that garbage was up.

And keep in mind, I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan. For me the holiday special was like an ax in the balls.

Maybe the He-Man/She-Ra Christmas Special will lift your spirit !!

Even that can't be as bad as the SW:HS. It truly must be seen to be believed.

Hell, even though I'm not normally for movie piracy, I strongly suggest you all download the SW:HS and experience it for yourselves. Even though it sucks, it's like watching a toddler get crushed by a freight train. Horrofying, yet you just can't look away...

From the sound of it, it seems worse than the Justice League christmas special. Scary.

That's why George Lucas wanted all the tapes destroyed, and I believed it got banned 'cause it was so bad.

Which is odd considering his insistance on including the characters and events in official Star Wars reference books (needed a reference for a class in character design).

Ugh!! I remember seeing that dreck a long time ago. Truly terrible. The Star Wars Holiday Special makes Santa Claus Conquers The Martians look like a Martin Scorcese film.

The really sad thing is that it isn't even the kind of badness that makes it worth watching for the cheese factor. It's just plain painful.
