Hello Fantastico. I have got a vast number of Gimp tutorial sites for you, but first here's our very own Drunk Duck Gimp tutorial site. Check it out and see if any of this works for you. The Gimpage http://www.drunkduck.com/Gimpage/index.php?p=41433
The program is difficult for you to use because it is a freeware rival for the professional's program Photoshop, and this means that it's got so many bells and whistles that it becomes confusing.
I'll post some more Gimp tutorial sites for you as I dig 'em out of favorites storage.

Okay:
Here's another tutorial on making speech bubbles with the Gimp. http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/topic/Comic-Talk-Bubbles-1259-1.html
Here is a tutorial on how to draw using Gimp commands and tools http://mailman.linuxchix.org/pipermail/courses/2005-February/001775.html [mailman.linuxchix.org]
And that's it for now. Honestly, the Gimpage site should be enough to get you up and running with the Gimp, so far as basic cartooning is concerned.

There's a lot more that I would like to put in Gimpage, but I can't get myself to do it right now. Do you have any specific questions or do you need an introduction to the interface?

Gigatwo, I think that rather than an introduction to the interface, you might just put up a tutorial listing some other neat GIMP tutorial sites floating in the Internet. What I mean is, since your site is the only one specifically dedicated to producing sequential art with GIMP, don't waste your time and energy going over the same ground already covered by other GIMP tutorial sites.
Hmm . . . something that would be great is if you were to interpret or translate some of the Photoshop specific sequential art tutorials into GIMP speak regarding the slightly different methods that a Gimper would have to use to produce similar results.
Of course that would be a lot of trouble, but there you have it.
