Now I need game suggestions. Except for Smash Brothers Brawl; that was the first game I got for it. I might try for a good Pokemon game, but other than that I like RPGs, action, and anything involving driving AND/or blowing up officially licensed vehicles. :)

I know it may only fit kind of in your Action classification, but Super Mario Galaxy is pretty awesome. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is also an excellent game. As far as driving goes, the new Mario Kart will be hitting sometime in April. That's just off the top of my head. I'll come back here if I think of more.

Hmmm... Far cry: vengeance maybe... bad graphics and storyline but it's quite fun.

EDIT: Super Paper Mario!

Maybe I'll get to see Solid Snake driving around in a cardboard box? :)

Another vote for Metroid Prime 3.

Also, if you haven't already played the Gamecube version, Zelda: Twilight Princess is a wise investment.

If you're willing to spend the $180 bucks on controllers and have three friends, Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2 is one of the most fun party games out there. Mario Party and other games may be a bit more balanced, but Rabbids is funny in addition to being fun, making it better for this sort of thing. Not really worth it if you're just playing by yourself, though...

I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but I hear that No More Heroes is an excellent adventure game.

The re-release of Bully is supposed to be good, but again, haven't played it...

I like Resident Evil 4 a lot more on the Wii, simply because of how much easier it is to aim. Other motion stuff is fairly intuitive (largely by being extremely simple) and doesn't hamper gameplay as far as I've been able to see.

If you don't have it already on another system (it's on all of them) Puzzle Quest is a great RPG/Puzzle game. The lower-than-average budget shows a bit, but it's good fun.

Fire Emblem's not the best in the series, but it's still a quality strategy RPG.

Oh, I'm so immature...

Er, I'd name a game but I haven't got much yet myself for the Wii. Don't get Red Steel.

Zack and Wiki is the only game I've found worth playing on the system.

I've heard good things about Umbrella Chronicles.

...Avoid Sonic and the Secret Rings like the plague. I learned that the hard way.

Umbrella Chronicles is good if you go into it with the right expectations... first of all, it's completely an on-rails shooter, and it relates to the Residential Evil franchise in theme and story, but not gameplay. Second, though it shares common elements with House of the Dead, it does not play like it. It is more strategic and lacks pick-up-an-play qualities.

It's a pretty good game with great production values, but when it's all said and done I enjoy the cheaper House of the Dead 2 & 3 Returns more thanks to its fun arcade nature and nostalgia value.

Metroid Prime 3.

EXCELLENT game. Not much bothers me except...

1) Why does Ridley look like ass?
2) WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME DO A DUMBASS LITTLE MOTION CONTROL BULLSHIT MINIGAME EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN A FUCKING DOOR JUST LET ME HIT FUCKING A FGSFDS

Other than that, EXCELLENT.

Avoid Mario Party or any other such minigame collections.

Brawl, like you said, = good.

Mario Galaxy looks good, but I haven't played it. I'll probably get it when I'm done with my other 8000 games I need to play. (I took advantage of Gamestop's post-Christmas specials and walked away with like 20 games for the price of one, also I'm borrowing the ENTIRE Xenosaga series from a friend.)

EDIT: Someone mentioned Twilight Princess.

Get the Gamecube version to avoid Waggle.

You must get Super Mario Galaxy. It shouldn't even be a discussion. ^_^

I don't own Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, but I've played it and it's fantastic...if you're a fan of the Metroid Prime series, which I'm not. Definitely worth buying though if you are.

Resident Evil 4 is great if you either:
1. Don't have the GCN version, or
2. Loved the GCN version enough to play it again...but better.

I have it on both consoles, so I fell under that second option. =)

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is the best party game you could own...so like InkMonkey said, only get it if you know you'll play with a lot of people often enough.

Excitetruck is a fun little game...but only get it if it's not too expensive, because it doesn't last too long as a game. If you're looking for a racer, I'd just wait for Mariokart.

I didn't like Twilight Princess much...and I generally love Zelda games. But from what I can tell, there are mixed opinions, so perhaps you'll like it.

Trauma Center's always a very fun game as well.

I haven't given it a go yet, but I heard No More Heroes was great.

Anything else is pretty much just worth renting.

Man, I forgot about Resident Evil 4. It's an awesome game, and the Wii's point-and-shoot controls work very well for it. I actually fit into Baconator's 2nd option as well, since I already owned it for GC when I bought it for Wii. On the Wii it comes with the additional game modes the PS2 version had, so I got more game to play along with the slick motion aiming.

I think Okami will be a future purchase for me, but I'll hold off on recommending it until I know for myself that it's good.

A couple months ago. I think they're still polishing the graphics (well, as much polish as you can get between the PS2 and the Wii...) and figuring out motion controls.

I don't see the point in getting any other Wii multiplayer games when you have Brawl.

Well, I have friends who don't like Smash Bros., largely because I've been playing since the first game came out, and they're still just trying to figure out how to play the new one. Losing to the same person over and over again apparently isn't very fun. It's possible to be "good" at Raving Rabbids, but not so much better that it completely nulls the chances of anyone playing who isn't intimately familiar with the game. And aside from which, even if you're not winning, it's still damn fun just to see the Rabbids do... well, anything, really.

Seeing them NOT do anything hurts my eyes enough. I don't need to see them move.

And really, just let them play with each other and you give pointers for a bit. Hell, I ENJOY teaching people how to play games.
