I was watching a episode of Attack Of The Show on G4 and they showed an exclusive trailer for a new Zombie filck coming out in October called Quarantine. This movie looks freakin' sweet and totally scary. I guess it was a remake of an italian flick called REC.

Neat!
Zombies always have a way of lowering my expectations for a movie. In a strange way that somehow makes me enjoy the movie more. I guess I always expect a B-movie when it's about zombies. I may give this one a shot.

I feel the same way. The plot normally plays out the same in every zombie flick.
Quarantine seems very different since its going for a bit of a Blair Witch/Cloverfiled feel to it, which for a zombie flick, it may kick arse.

Didn't George Romero do the same thing with Diary of the Dead?
The makeup looks pretty wicked in this one though. =3

It's newish, I think it's been in theaters already but I haven't see much advertising for it. Don't think it's on DVD yet...

I definitely see the similarities.
I think the settings is what makes the films different.
The Quarantine film is all in this apartment building in one night and the DoTD film seems like a road trip over a period of time. Both seem interesting.

The road trip with zombies idea interests me more.
Speaking of Dexter... Now, if Quarantine had a serial killer in it as one of the villains/antiheroes, now that'd be awesome.
