Review for Galactic Hub Serreven

ART:

The art is simple, but in a refreshingly uncluttered way. I have to say, the cover page was really interesting and creative, as well as nostalgic ^_^. However, I think you could use some differentiation in the shades of grey. Often it's hard to tell which "plane" each object is on; for example on this page, I can't really tell what is hitting him in the head-- you could probably clarify that by making the object darker, thus differentiating it from the background.

When it changes to color, at first it's a little shaky and bland, but by this page

you seem to have gotten a really good grip of simple, but pleasant, coloring, so I won't detract for the less-high-quality pages (like when the girl is running away.)
Often there are fun little things going on in the background, which I enjoy! so for art, I'll give you a 4/5.

STORY:
It's just getting started; there's not a lot there so far. We have our hero, (I don't know his name... did he get one??) who gets a coveted position as an administrator of Galctic Hub Serrevin; he's a good "everyman" kind of protagonist. Not the most fiercely individualistic hero I've ever seen, but he does the job. We have the mysterious sexy lady with a crazy cat (Scatty? like scat? haha). And we have the shocking revelation that the previous bearers of the protagonist's job were assassinated. It left off at an interesting juncture, and there were a few pretty funny moments (like when you introduced the fat guy in a way that suggested he was going to be a main character... and then he got eaten by the scatty. haha.) I'd have to give the story aspect a 3/5; but it's a high 3, because of the suspense you created with the possible assassination plot!

So in total, I'd give you a 3.75/5. It's a nice comic, and has the potential to be really good, especially if you continue in the direction you're going.

News from Hpk:

He's left the forums over issues with a particular member. He won't be leaving reviews here anymore and would like the thread to be locked. However, if you still want a review from him you can send him a private quack and he just might hook you up.
