I already do something like what you're doing, except I use anime. What I do is, while watching an episode of anime, I pick a character and try to draw them as best as I can without pausing. It makes it challenging with a moving target that isn't always on screen. I call it "Constant motion observation drawing" to make it sound fancy.
Here's an example: It's the lead female of "Seto no Hanayome" drawn in the duration of two episodes. The face and head was done mostly during the first, and she wore the yukata in the second episode, so I drew that.
I suppose to not make my post totally off topic, I could ask for a doodle of April .

Please give me a few days to get my life in order and get back on this. I have a 6 page comic do for an anthology as well as my classwork and a couple guest-comics for folks.
I am actually taking advantage of my massive buffer and taking a break on my comics to get all of this taken care of.
