How much to pay a penciller?

I've got a project I'm working on this summer and I have to write up a budget to apply for grant money. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about how much money pencillers make. I calculated it out and he would be responsible for penciling around 150-200 panels. Ball park estimates would even be helpful! If anyone has any idea please let me know. Thanks for your time!

panel count doesnt mean anything, unless the artist is doing 1 panel a page. go by page count, and then pay a page rate. a good start is 80 bucks a page if you want a very good artist. you could probably get away with paying a crappy one 10-20 bucks a page.

you dont have any friends that can draw?
seriously if you are just starting out, I would suggest finding a friend that would do it for free.

I can draw, actually. =P I'm probably going to end up doing the penciling myself, but i still need a number to but into the budget plan for how much I would be paying the penciller. Thanks for the advice though! =)
