I wanna compare myself to others. How long do you guys either practice drawing or just draw a day? On most days when I draw I spend 2-3+ hours drawing. How about you?

Some days I don't draw at all, but those are rare days. Usually, I spend 2-3 hours drawing. On the days I have one of my Drawing Days, I can spend up to 8 hours drawing, but I don't have those very often.

Depends when I feel like it.
Sometimes it varies from hardly ever to a few hours (usually 1 to 3) per day.

I find myself drawing less and less. I don't have alot of free time to spend on it. If I want to play videogames for a couple hours it's usually at the expense of something else. I still try to sneak in 6 or 8 hours of actual pencil and paper drawing every week.

If you add in the time I'm turning my drawings into comics, then I spend alot more time. Alot of what I do is on the computer, so it's not "drawing" but it's definately still "artwork." probably puts me up around 12-16 hours a week

The only time I am practicing is when I am drawing my comic.
I rarely get time to draw other stuff. So around 3-9 hours a day 4 days a week.

Cept my work days where I sketch 1 day, ink the next, then color on the third day.
12 hour shifts make it hard to squeeze drawing time in.

Read "The Devon Legacy".

Actually, that's about all I do. I don't get out much, unless it's to a convention or something.

Well, besides hanging around DD or DA, but that goes without saying, which is kinda why I said it... :)

Way too less in my spare time. It's about 0-2 hours a day. But I spend at least 4 hours of drawing in school time :) It kills the boredom ya know.

When I feel like it/need to.

Gee, that would have been a great answer if the question I asked was WHEN instead of HOW LONG.

3-5 hours during weekdays, 10-12 hours during weekends. Of course, that includes computer shading, coloring, adding speech bubbles, organizing panels, etc. Drawing (pencils and inking) is only a small part of the process. That said, when I do my comic, I devote all my free time to it. I usually make a page in one week, and then I take a week off - which I use either to do nothing at all or to write (I'm a writer, also).

All the time!

Except for now, o' course.

I'd say somewhere between three and ten hours total a day, since I spend most of my class time drawing, either comics or sketches, and then making the comics themselves.

Average 4 hours for most pencilled page. Average 8 hours for most inked page. Average 12 hours for colored page.

I used to draw daily, but after getting a stressful job, finding the time to draw is hard.

Whenever I have time.

Although, recently, I haven't had time to even sit down. So I bought myself a sketch book so I could draw during every opportunity.

This year, school's full of BS!!!

I have no idea. Some days, not at all. Sometimes, not for weeks or even months. And then sometimes, when the mood strikes, for every minute I'm awake bar breaks to smoke, drink, or eat.

So, on a good day 8+ hours... on a bad day not at all. The last week, loads... but some nights when I get in from work I just wanna veg in front of the tellybox. :P

I usually draw somewhere between half an hour and two hours when I actually get time to draw. Drawing a page only takes about two to three hours (pencils and inks) though, so not having a lot of drawing time isn't a huge problem.

2-3 sketches during the day, if just digitally, then typically 3-5 hours a night, depending on how time goes and how inspired I'm feeling. Mind you, I consider pretty much any art I do 'practice'.

Depends on the day, like a lot of others have said. I range from drawing absolutely nothing to sitting down and working pretty much all day, depending on how much else I have to do that day, how stressed I am, how much I have to finish, how easily things are "flowing", etc.

Depends on my homework, but it has gone from 0-5 hours or so. Mostly I do it in philosophy class. But that's just me.

Since I started again, I've been setting myself to a 1 sketch a day quota. I'm already about 7 behind. I did mine for today, though!

Oh wait, that still means I'm a week behind.

Depends on the amount of schoolwork I have. I'd have to say 3-4 hours a day on average, but of course I'm always doing something online or something during all that (I've even started watching DVDs on my computer while drawing at the same time :P), so I really don't know how much time is spent purely on drawing.

Lately, I've been spending more time on drawing. I used to just draw once a week when it came time to update my comic, and that took between 3 to 6 hours. Granted, the pages were a lot bigger and I constantly wanted to make changes...

Now, though, I draw every day, whether I intend to show it off or not. I'd say I spend 2 to 3 hours every day, instead of just once a week.
By the time you finish this, you'll have read it. :3

With two small kids, I don't have time to draw every day. I wish I did, but well, "if wishes were horses, we'd all be eatin' steak." I usually manage to find a couple of hours a week to work on things like that.
