How do I get a motion avatar?

Every time I try to upload a motion avatar, I keep getting the x in the box, help me!

It might be that the file is too large. Moving avatars should be in a gif format and SMALLER than 40K.

To make animated avatars, you'll need an animation program of some sort that allows you to save .gif files. Jasc Animation Shop is good for this. You can either draw the individual panels in Animation Shop (or another program) or you can make the panels using something else and put it all together in an animation program.
