help! there are too many buttons in inkscape and i am so very retarded when it comes to art programs( except paint. i pwn in paint)

I got no idea about how Inkscape works, but the first piece of advice usually given in a thread like this is to do a google search for "inkscape tutorial" or somesuch. :)

One thing to do in inkscape is to highlight your picture, then go to path, trace bitmap, choose your particular options, and hit ok to streamline the lines and such.
