When I first heard about this I was just like "Oh, that'll be interesting, but I probably won't buy it." Then I looked some stuff up about it and... well, on top of it being free, which I had no idea of before, it actually looks pretty fun.

My favorite part in all, though, would have to be the fact that they're going to integrate so much of the Playstation network into it. So instead of just clicking the Playstation Store option on your main screen on your PS3, you have your Home avatar walk up to the store in game and buy the stuff.

Mostly though, I just want to give my guy a pimp suit and hope that there's a slap emote. :)

I liked this better when it was The Getaway Online.

Bonus points for Sony trying something semi-new.

Home does look pretty cool; definitely the most intriguing of all the online systems. That's really the one thing that has me miffed about my Wii: the online is composed of Jack and Shit, and Jack left town. Though I do think the Miis are more attractive than the Home avatars. I believe the term is the "Unbeleivability Valley," which basically states that if something is cartoony yet humanoid, it's cute, but if it's fairly realistic but not realistic enough, it looks unnatural and almost corpselike, making it creepy. They look a lot like the Second Life avatars, come to think of it, though not quite so universally hideous.

The Uncanny Valley? Yeah, I'd like a closer look at the avatars to really see if they get close enough to reality to reach that point. I prefer characters that have some sort of artistic stylization, and even Sims 2 had that. I'd love to see Home be a bit more cartoony. Or a lot.

I love character customization, so I do want to play with Home. But what worries me about it is that it looks like it'll become a microtransaction deathtrap. If I have to pay for a decent virtual couch, then my house would be fairly empty.
