Are we in agreement about how awesome it is, then? The entire series is loaded with those kinds of extremely explicit anime references. FMP Fumoffu and To Heart ones are just everywhere!

Many of bobobo's jokes are references to Japanese culture, so if you don't know Japanese culture then you won't get most of the jokes. It's their sorta version of Family Guy...The manga on the other hand has made me laugh countless times regardless of having the knowledge of Japanese culture. I'm a sucker for those random stupid type of comedy :P

The most unintentionally funny anime I can think of, I can't remember the name to! It was about some overly shy girl who was in love with some popular guy, but was afraid to say anything. Then she finally tells him, and he likes her to and they end up dating. So, she has had her dream come true, shes dating her true love, here comes the funny part.

She gets hit by a car a put into acoma for 3 years. HAHAHA

Then when she finally wakes up out of the coma, the guy she was in love with was getting married to HER BEST FRIEND

It was all trying to be so serious, but man, I laughed my ass off, she has like the worst luck ever...

My friend who was watching it with me was like "thats so sad it makes me want to cry" but I couldnt stop laughing....

Oh yeah, it's called Kimi ga Nozomu Ein and you're right that was pretty funny.

Excel Saga was great, especially the last episode. Dragon Half and Haunted Junction were funny too. So was Ranma 1/2 but only the second season IMO. FLCL is the best!

I've started to watch it, but why did they put it in non-chronological order? Not only would that cause confusion, it may also release spoilers.

Part of the fun of the show revolves around people knowing things that Haruhi doesn't. The nonlinear order supports this by letting the audience in on many of these secrets as soon as possible. You become a "co-conspirator" of sorts like Kyon.

The first that come to my mind are "Dai Mahou Touge" and "Club to Death Angel Dokuro-chan." I found the Excel Saga manga to be really funny, but I thought the anime was kinda... Lame. They added in all this dieties-and-aliens stuff that I think kinda ruined it.

Azumanga, Cromartie, Hare+Guu, Excel Saga, yeah, I know that these have all been said before.

Ohmigosh, did anyone catch that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya reference from Konata during episode 15 of Lucky Star? Oh, that was classic!
