Hitting Stuff to Make it Work
Terminal

Say your favorite electronic device does not work, some unexplainable error or something. After getting pushed to the limit, the electronic device laughing at you, you do what people do best, you hit it. Then, all of a sudden, it starts to work. Could it be the right timing, or could it be that sometimes, an electronic item needs a little "shock", to show it who is the boss (...not litterally of course.) Now I ask all of you, have you guys ever been so pissed with something not working, so much as to strike it. Then, all of a sudden, it starts to work?

The only time I had to strike something was the coin slot on a DDR machine when quarters started getting jammed up. Other than that, I've maintained a peaceful coexistence with my electronics.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

I don't think hitting things has ever made them work for me. That must work sometimes though because that's usually the thing most people think of first.
However I do find it amusing in video games when I am trying to puzzle out what I'm supposed to do with some item I know that I need to do something with, and it turns out I just have to hit/slash/etc it. I always think 'hitting it should be the FIRST thing I try'

Old computer monitors at school, but I did hit it once and then the image turned side ways, it was really hard to click "shut down".
I also browse on my PSP and PS3. So if I'm online, I may be on them.

I once accidentally punched my External Hard drive and it no longer worked.
Couple of days later I tried to fix it but failed. Out of my frustration I punched it again and it started to work.

Electronics will become more and more intricate and sensitive to the point where mechanical force would no longer be the way to fix it; by the time we have quantum PCs, just thinking bad thoughts at it would be the way to kickstart it.

Nintendo's next console should be called Unbreakable.
I've never been able to break a Nintendo machine. And I heard that the Wii is harder than the TV screen.

My old Gameboy (the gigantic version) takes a few hits against a wall to get working but it still runs. Works like charm, a wonderfully broken charm. I still play tetris on that thing.

my x-box usually dosent open if i forget to leave the game in it. when that dose happin hitting the top of it combind with jamming the open buttin usually opens it. unfortunatly jamming the open buttin also somtimes closes it meaning another five minits of standing there hitting the damned thing

The only things I've had to hit to make them work is my old NES and SNES, osasionally my N64. Oh and I have to hit the front of my X-box to get the disk tray out. And the open button on my Gamecube fails to work, so I hit that to. Huh... I should keep my brother away from my stuff from now on...
