The third chapter in an ongoing series of superhero team-up stories, this one is written by myself, with many great dd artists lined up to supply artwork! Heroes Unite is a community project, uniting webcomic superheroes and their creators. Everyone is free to apply for future chapters!

As a special incentive, everyone can be part of the project!
Just draw one or several of your comic's characters watching the sky, and add the phrases as shown on the teaser below: "WATCH THE SKIES." and the titles/link "HEROES UNITE: EGO -- HTTP://WWW.DRUNKDUCK.COM/HEROES_UNITE". If you post them on your own comic (together with the link to http://www.drunkduck.com/Heroes_Unite in your comments) and send me a PQ telling me about it I'll link back to your comic from Heroes Unite!

Hi Abt - Just posted this in the BVC Scrap Book . I don't get too many visitors there but, when it goes live at HU, I'll re-post it at Shades where it will hopefully get a little more attention!

WOW, these are awesome. If I had a super hero comic I would give it a shot, but I am afraid I do not draw well enough to do a super hero comic.

DAJB: Being a huge fan of Shades, this is just the sort of promotion I hoped for :D Actually I thought hard about how to squeeze in a reference to Shades - or a cameo -, sadly it didn't work out this time.

Mushroomcomix: It would be great if you participated, and don't worry about your art maybe not being fit for superhero comics... when it comes to contributors I am primarily looking for people who share my enthusiasm, and you do sound very enthusiastic :) Also, these crosspromotion ads are in no way meant to be restricted to other superhero comics. The larger idea behind this is that the threat HU3 revolves around affects everyone. Thus I am happy about any participant, no matter the genre! I'd also like to stress that every participating comic will be linked back to from the HU site - I am not going to sort out these comics, or exclude some just because of their style.

I've got a unique hero I'd like to contribute to this book. Is there a requirement of any sort? Or is it truly for everyone in the DrunkDuck Community?

silvipera: Everyone can apply to contribute in any imaginable way (writer/artist/character creator...), but of course I can't guarantee that everyone will actually get to participate. The best way is to apply during early production stages of a chapter, when plans are still vague. Usually there are some requirements to be met which are specified in the forums . As far as I'm informed, right now you'd have the best chances applying for HU: Alienation, where recruitment has started just a few days ago.
