Hello! Since this category also deals with print comics, I thought I'd bring up a comic that hasn't really been added to since the late '80s.
Berke Breathed has an awesome repertoire! He has done the series of "Bloom County," "Outland," and, still featured in American newspapers today, "Opus".
I just can't get enough "Bloom County" and I own several collections of the comic.
It's hilarious!
Anyway, the point of this post is to get a discussion going of older print comics that people still love, including "Bloom County" which I suggest people do a Google search on it or Berkeley Breathed.
Can anyone else come up with some old discontinued or re-runned comics that are still loved?
(By the by, I'm just trying to participate more here on Drunk Duck instead thinking of myself and my comic all the time.)
P.S. Another by the by: I think DIS by Jojo Seames is a really good comic, so please go and find it, you won't be disappointed!

Has anyone ever read "Bloom County"?

Yes, I was/am a big Bloom County fan (Berke Breathed went to the University of Texas at Austin, where I live) and then Outland as well. It's amazing material!
Unfortunately, since Outland happened after his horrible car accident where his wrist was badly injured, the art suffered more than his humor. Still, from what I understand of how bad his accident was, it was a wonder he was able to draw at all. So I appreciated the effort he made, as well as the humor he accomplished.
So, as far as I'm concerned, Bloom County is classic comic strip material from the 80s that should be recognized for the genius it is. And Outland is a logical extenuation of Bloom County (with more focus on Opus). B)

I didn't know that bit about the accident. Poor guy.
Is he still alive? I don't really know all about his life, just the life of his characters (hee hee)...
Genius work? You're absolutely right!!!
Can't get enough of it!
