Hi All,
I'm just wondering have we had any successful mini-series here on DD? (Not counting the PS ones) Recently I've started work to try and make a few and I stopped to think for a moment I can't think of any mini-series on DD. A few series like Kota's World have finish and other like Lancaster the Ghost Detective are getting close to finishing but neither of those were mini-series but rather maxie series or a continueing series that simply finished after either a good long run or the storylines had all played out.
Doing a mini-series has challenged me in new ways but it has also been a lot of fun and I think it has made me a better writer, so now I'm very currious has anyone else done a mini-series on DD?

Usually any limited-series between 3 and 6 issues is considered a mini-series so a limited series planned about for 75-150. 1 issue stories are usually considered one shots and 2 issue series are fairly rare as the publisher will usually just make 2 issue series into a single large volume (unless it is part of a larger publication series like is the case with the Star Wars mini-series by Dark Horse.) but any limited-series ten issue or 250 roughly pages or more is almost always considered a maxi-series such as with the Earth-X maxie series.
Now some monthly series have gone well under 150 pages but they were not planned to actually have an end but instead an on going story that happened to get cut short and cannot be considered limited-series thusly they are neither a mini nor maxie series.
Note: The term Maxie series is rarely used since they are somewhat rare in main stream comic aside from the occasional reimagined like the Superman/Batman All Star series (though they are far more common in indy companies) and typically all limited series will get lumped into the mini-series catagory.

I'm working on two at the moment - a fantasy comic (The Spires [brokenvoice.co.uk]) and a vampire tale (Hunted [brokenvoice.co.uk]).
They're both 4-parters with approx. 28 pages in each part. I haven't put them on DD, though, because updates are a bit irregular.

I might plan to do something like that in the future. Its like 20 pages per 'episode' then next 'episode' is a new story or something.

Mini-series? Well I guess BFF counts. It's 100 pages.
But one thing I love to make are minicomics which usually takes 10-25 pages to complete. I've done a couple so far: One Hundred Percent... and FiF; and I'm currently working on another minicomic with a fellow DD'er that should be 10 pages.

I got Werewolf set up as mini series. Each "chapter" or "issue" is about standard length of a comic book.
After that I may do another mini series, maybe a super team book.

I did a 6-page special in HVH about Constantine, does that count?

Lazer Dust was going to be a mini-series...
But I liked the idea too much to keep it a mini-series. 'sides nintendo attack(my old main comic) was a shameful piece of crap.
