I refuse to pay for Gold service on Live. Not when Microsoft is spreading their money sucking parasite onto the PC platform.

I'm talking about Live for Vista. Don't be surprised when future games require it. Plus with the same Silver and Gold plans, PC gamers may soon have the "luxury" of paying an additional fee to play online.

Guild Wars is free, and Guild Wars 2 is going to be too. And Guild Wars is the only computer game I play.

(If anyone plays too, my name is Kem Ravenbane, or Lil Monk Dude)

(Shut up! He's the best monk in the world!)

Cthulhu, normally I don't mind topics straying off-topic over the course of natural discussion, but if you want to talk about Guild Wars, make a new thread for it.

Crackdown is actually a really awesome game. I'm going to try the Halo 3 beta, but I wasn't impressed with the last two Halo games so I'm not expecting much.

Crime Pays, updating Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

So many of my friends play that nobody plays Halo 2 anymore. I'm just gonna play the regular Halo 3 when it comes out because I don't want to buy crackdown.

Live for vista is only required for cross platform gaming. Also, if you have a 360 gold membership then you can use it on vista.

Live for Vista will be and is required for games which are exclusive to the service (like Halo 2). I also love how Bungie claimed online gameplay for the PC version of Halo 2 would be free, but lo and behold, the game comes out and you need gold service to play it online. My whole point is that you shouldn't HAVE to pay for Live on the PC for ANY game. Microsoft is trying to change that by encouraging developers to make their games live exclusive and you better believe they're going to do it with their own games. I don't have a gold membership. I'm not paying for online play on any system, least of all the PC.
