Because nobody else has started a topic about it.
I would have gotten it already, if I wasn't so damn broke. I only have the demo to go on and I already think it's pretty awesome.

I like the new methods for unlocking the licensed songs (playing in a higher difficulty and being called to do an "encore"), but overall the song selection isn't as strong as the first one. I'm still liking it, though. Also, some of the gameplay modes they advertised kind of got limited to the multiplayer mode.

I heard Trogdor was one of the songs. Is this true? Or did Wikipedia lie again?
Why hello there.

I have the first one. Freakin' loved the game... but I can only play up to Medium difficulty.
I'm waiting for my brother to buy the 2nd one... but I don't think that's likely. Do you also have to buy a separate SG Guitar controller for this one? (Please say no)

It's one of the unlockable songs in the shop.
As for the controller, you can buy it with or without the controller. I bought the one with the controller since I wanted a second guitar for muliplayer. They also sell some third party wireless controllers separately, but from what I hear they have some lag issues. The official wireless controllers haven't come out, yet. Still, I'm tempted just because I like the "Flying V" style guitar.

Does it have Dragonforce? If not, I'll wait for teh 360 version, and buy that with the 360 when it comes out. Then maybe they'll offer DF songs as DL content.

No, it doesn't have Dragonforce. At least, I don't think it does... No I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I checked ye olde Wikipedia.

Just today I was playing Guitar Hero 2 in a store. It was pretty much my first time playing ANY Guitar Hero, but because it's easy to figure out and fairly similar to an actual guitar, I didn't have any trouble picking it up and playing pretty well on an easy level.
While I was playing, a man walked up and watched for a while. Apparently he thought I was actually playing the music! I finished the song, and he said, "That was a real song, wasn't it?"
"Yeah," I said.
"Man, you ROCK!"
"Thanks!" I left the plastic guitar in his son's hands and went to finish my shopping.

My nephew brought this game over and I have to say that I loved it. It took a bit to get used to the guitar controls, but I got used to it pretty quick. My nephews were impressed. I'm considering buying it myself now.

All i know is that Trogdor from Strongbad and Thunderhorse from Dethklok is on there. That's enough for me to buy it.

Question: When first playing Guitar Hero, how many people actually took a couple of songs to realise you have to click the...fret...thingie...on the guitar to hit a note?
It's not just me that's embarrassingly slow, right?

If I had no siblings, I would say this was a realyl cool idea for a game. As it is though, my tone deaf, step brother with no hand eye cooridination, is in the room right next to me with the TV turned all the way up. It's a fun game, but absolutley EVIL.

I can play nearly every song except 'Bark at the Moon' on GH I. That song is evil. But I played a demo in the stores. I totally wanna get it. They got Butthole Surfers on there!
