Well, I'm trying to find some good fighting scenes for refference...
seems that I've run a little bit dry when trying to draw good fighting between my Magical Girl and the Queen of Darkness.
I want it to look like a realstic fight between two women who dediced to just settle it with thier dukes and legs. but for some reason, the postures that I have them in looks so... well, stiff.
I want them to look like they're in motion, without having to use any blur effects. please don't tell me I have to resort to the blur effect.. :?

You could look in old super hero comic books, I think those had HEAPS of fight poses, and thre are those drawings of martial art moves you get in all the martial art training materials... I dunno, books, posters and things. I think I remember that they've got good step by step drawings of fight moves in those.
Personally I just make up my own fight moves based on my imagination. It's not as hard as you first think.

lol, I tried using my imaganiation but the problem with my imaganation is that at times it's not very...well, nearly realstic at all.
like if you peeked into my head to see what went on in my head when I was trying to picture fighting, then you'd go "WTF? I don't think half of that is even possible..."
because I have a very werid, overactive imagination.
I just want people to really see what happens and go: "hmmm, now that could happen in real life too! cool..."
or at least: "Hmmm. it's done so well that I almost believe that it could happen, even though I know it can't. so damn cool.."

Wha....? They'd all have to be double jointed contortionists to do that! And shoving a weapon up there? Man that's severe.... Still, that naked fight scene was pretty hot!
Wait a sec, I was looking into my head by accident there.

if you start with a very loose sketch and then ink in the details i find that that give lots of movement because the drawing changes as you draw it instead of just a static pose, when i have time ill draw you an example

When I draw my combat scenes I draw the reacting character first. (The character getting punched, blocking, dodging, ect...) Then I draw the attacker to match the first character. This makes lining up punches and kicks so much easier because instead of drawing a character around the position of the attacker's hand/foot, I only have to move the attacker's hand/foot to the location that I want the force to connect.
Ya know that tough material they make the "black box" on airplanes?
Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?
