Aww, she looks sad! But dont worry, I can read brood knight without any problems because I know absolutely nothing about naruto!
The picture gives the impression of a more relationship related comic, rather then an action adventure type one, I will have to look and see if this is correct.
Here is a fun page from my comic-

Hope that image works!

I love the simple and powerful livid red colour that is used to back the action in the second panel. That angle in panel 1 reminds me of when Sauron was overlooking the men and elves in LOTR:FOTR. Very cool.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The one I posted below was the one that showed a bit of my love of animation. I think I managed to convey the motionlessness of Dre's thoughts and physical stance compared to the rant that Mandy is letting out.

Really funny page Druchii! It literally made me LOL. I love the line work on the characters and as you mentioned, your love of animation really shines through in the expressions. The last pose and expression is almost Disney-like in it's appearance. And I'm a sucker for how the same pose is used to end the rant and for the punchline, with only the facial change. I love that technique and it works beautifully here, getting a big laugh from the punchline. A strip this well done makes me want to check out the other strips.

I also agree about harkovast's page...it immediately evoked the image of Sauron for me. Really nicely done!

Here's a random strip from my comic. The comic follows the life of struggling actor Mick Nardelli and is mostly a slice of life/workplace type deal...but every now and then I love to break the fourth wall and do some random humor. I look at the characters like they are the cast of a play/movie I'm doing and they sometimes will jump out of those main roles to play "other" roles. This is definitely one of those strips.

@Breaking The Ice - looks like a fun little strip to me. I checked back the last few pages and some of it puts a little smile on my face. As with every other comic strip there's always strips better than others.

-------------------

Genre- action, adventure, drama, angst, fantasy, sci-fi, some comedy and sexual innuendo.

Art Style - Manga

Introduction - Nuff said. This is a restart. I've decided to restart BK after I found some old old long lost chapters after cleaning out my old stuff. This is my debut to the world of webcomics. All cover pages are drawn properly and the rest are just the way they were except with the translation (this comic was originally in Tagalog).

Enjoy!

DMH: Man that was an awesome strip! Demon Babe Roommate rocks!

Here's mine:

Week Daze

Week Daze follows the week to week exploits of Johnson Jones and his fellow friends and workmates at a multi-media company. Characters include pop culture fanatics, a homicidal pet cat, a curmudgeony Metal Head and the typical boss everyone hates...

AWCramer - Hilarious strip! I can relate I nearly broke my DS when it froze while I was trying to save my sketch.

Here' mine!

Comes from my comic Despotize. It's about a genetically altered being who has to take down an evil corporation(pretty generic sounding but I hope the story makes up for how it sounds).

Despotize is the time of comic that I like to see. It takes a basic concept and spins a unique vision on it. The art helps create a fast paced and although black and white a very vibrant world. And not to mention some of the best facial work I have seen in a comic.

This here is mine, it is called Interim State, it takes place in Purgatory and tells the story of Pontius Pilate. The pic I am showing is one of from my new artist, not on of my old artist.

the2ndredbaron: i like the use of greytones and flowing lines that the new artist uses! very dynamic. your book is only 5 pages deep, how far in does the art change hands?

here's my chaos: POWERJEFF

this image is from the fourth chapter. it's one of my favorite pages from the book. it's not one of the "better illustrated" pages, per se, but it certainly captures the essence that POWERJEFF is about.

genre: comedy/satire/action adventure...sometimes "super hero" if you count Powerjeff, the book's namesake.

style: cartoon.

premise: it starts out about a boy, his newfound super-human powers, his chia pet, and his best friend......but the story shifts to chronicle the crazy daily lives of his arch-enemies - a bunch of guys who are all jerks in their own right. randomness and chaos are a staple of the tale.

Json: I like your art and the concept of your comic sounds interesting. Also great perspective on this page. That looks like a real store I would like to go to.

I hadn't posted in this thread in a while. I thought by god. Umm if you don't know my comic is a mutant hybrid of a shonen manga and an American animated sitcom like Southpark. It is VERY much rated M. Actually I'm pretty sure I've stretched that to it's very limit.

it actually is a real store in tokyo. each floor is a different genre of toy. and the top floor is exclusively action figures.

your page here reminds me of the show 24. jack is running around for 24 hours, but when does he find time to poop? everyone has too poop eventually!!

@ Warpedwenger

I saw how your art and writing has evolved over the long course of the comic. I love the bright colors. It was cool when you added shading and depth to it, but I know we all seek a happy medium between putting a full forth effort into quality and trying to maintain regular updates. I think you found a good compromise. I can tell that the writing has improved as well. I see more thought put into interesting dialogue and plotline, not so much reliance on crass maleness (though enough to characterize certain characters) and excessive cursing -- yet it still maintains its in-your-face-ness.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I figured I'd share a strip from my other comic, recently started and just 15 strips long. (Not even enough for the first milestone announcement.)
This comic is called Gelotology and this particular update is titled "Hyphenated Botany"
Genre: Comic Strip/Humor -- um, sci-fi?
Style: Simplified cartoonish
Story: Becky and Dave are at a science convention. Random strips (not always including Becky and Dave), no story arc. Science theme.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, and Used Books has also changed significantly. It's in full color now, so here's an example:

Usedbooks always has something interesting and good character progression.

The Chronicles of Wyrden has evolved from the cross-hatched style that Reva began and transformed recently into a full brush ink/water soluble pencil style.

A Ronin writer, a masterless samurai of the written word...

Updating: Thursdays. Now in glorious Ink Wash and Water Soluble Pencil! Reva's note: This is not created digitally, it's all hand drawn and inked.

The Chronicles Of Wydren: The art is absolutely amazing. You have a very well developed talent Doctor Shadow. You should look into comics as a career.

Style: Manga/Anime

Walrus
I like the art and text bubbles for Pixel comic. Better than I could do, much better. Good name for a comic...

WWE The Comic by Walrus

Style: Photographic
Genre: Random/Adventure
Concept: Boogeyman infiltrates Mr.McMahon's office late at night, searching for one thing only: The WWE Championship Belt. Thus begins a long struggle for the retrieval of the Championship belt. One of the few photo wrestling photo comics out there.

Endstone looks to be solid, high-end Fantasy, and THANK GOD. I truly believe there needs to be more examples of quality fantasy work in terms of art and writing, and this looks to be an excellent addition.

Nine Shot Sonata

Genre- Action/Comedy

Story- Heaven, Hell, and Heavy Metal. Everyone knows about the covenant between God and Satan. Satan never held up his end. What happens when a few of God's angels decide that enough's enough, and who can you turn to if God's holding to the covenant and not interfering to even stop them? Ask Mal.

http://drunkduck.com/PATAWA/index.php
PATAWA

Genre- comedy and stupidity.

Story- Patawa is tagalog for "joke". This comic has no story at all. Its just mostly random spoofed pages of my other comic called MAG-ISA. Though I might put up stupid jokes or political jokes in the future.

So here's a sample. This happened during the shooting of MAG-ISA.

Now I want to see the original page that this one spoofed. ;) Is that little kid trying to prompt her with the "cough"? Heh.

I love the color of her hair, too; and the posture/angle in that first panel. :)

****

Ooooookay. Here's me. This is the "cleanest" page I could find, and I still had to edit the last panel. ;)

The Hub

Genre:
Uh... Weird? Real Life? Really weird life? Hell if I know.

Story:
Mostly about a dive bar and the scumbags and drunks what frequent the joint. It takes place in an alternate reality, or another dimension or... whatever; we don't really know. That's not important. (Or is it?) Anyhow. It's called "The Hub", and people mysteriously awaken to find themselves trapped there. Which is exactly what happens to our hero. And then, more stuff happens...

What? I'm terrible at these summaries.

@Hyena H_ll:

Ahhh... The Hub. It's still on my list of webcomics I would buy if I came across it at some comic/book store place. It shares the list with one other comic.

From the unique style of the characters with exquisite and detailed shading to the odd story that draws you in quite subtly, the Hub is quite the comic.

Karna is also quite creep, annoyingly so. Her grin almost freaks me out as much as the one belonging to Julia Roberts.

Almost.

- - -

On to my comic, I like this strip and it doesn't really spoil the story :D

Ephemeral

Ephemeral is a historical fantasy presented in a traditional B&W newspaper strip style that updates on a daily basis.

Style: Photographic
Genre: Random/Adventure
Concept: Boogeyman infiltrates Mr.McMahon's office late at night, searching for one thing only: The WWE Championship Belt. Thus begins a long struggle for the retrieval of the Championship belt. As the season continues, the demand for the title, and Boogeyman's capture increase, which makes Boogeyman more desperate for attention. So he plots out little retaliations at the ones who want him fired, including his boss. This all soon leads to one final encounter later in the comic.
