This about sums up my feeling on the game:



Too bad the PC version gets virtually none of the perks of an online connection, and that the Wii version is dumbed down massively. At least Xbox owners (i.e. anyone with half a brain and a couple bucks to throw around) are gonna have good times. Anyone else planning to get this and zap a few ghosts online?

I'll probably wait awhile and then maybe rent it for the 360. I dunno.

Sucks to be you then because this game owns owns owns. Just caught Silmer and some crazy fisherman. Already crossed the streams and got my ass knocked the hell back. I hear if you cross three or more streams you can blink all reality out and get a game over.

Edit: Never mind, I found it myself. Apparently the PS3 has crappier graphics. Fuck that, I'll just import the 360 version.

Yeah not to mention the Xbox actually has triggers as opposed to a flat bumper making firing in a shooter feel much more realistic and smooth, but also the Xbox has a much more solid online system that doesnt boot you constantly or lag out.

PSN is free because it's connection is so shitty, you heard it here first folks.

Unfortunately the xbox version of the game doesn't come out anytime in the near future in the UK. :[ I really want this game!

The town of Trenton, Ontario seems to be without copies of this game. In fact, it won't be delivered here for another week, they told me.

This game is amazing. Being the Rookie is tons of fun. Seriously if you haven't been interested in this game... check it out.

I haven't really touched my XBOX since Left 4 Dead came out... I might have to give it a go.


On a side note the music in this thread is fantastic.

OK I just have to revive this thread to say that this game was just about everything I hoped it would be, except too short. :[ They did a great job with the dialogue and I'm so glad they got everyone from the cast back. It was a good way to 're-live' the best movie stuff without just being a video game version of the movie. I'll probably replay it again because I missed some stuff, and I want to mess around with some of the other weapons some more. I want to try crossing everyone's streams at once. B) Maybe I'll try online, but that isn't usually my thing... usually someone just tries to kill you or something.

I love those 4 guys and being the rookie was like a childhood dream came true. Egon said I did a good job! EGON said that! To ME! MEEEEEE

The four-way cross is pretty awesome. It's an instant game over, but a very satisfying one. Good luck getting it to happen though, unless you talk everyone else into it or plan it with some friends. I've only ever crossed one stream with mine by accident in multi.

How the heck do you cross all the four streams at once???

That is, without co-operation from the other three busters in a co-op?

Aww.... I thought maybe you could do it in the regular game, just in a level when the other 4 are there with you (I guess at the end) and then you shoot yours to intersect all theirs or something. :[
