I HATE movie-based games but I was thinking of breaking my rule for once to get this.
I'm just scared that it might potentially suck.

Yeah, naturally there is potential for it to suck. But people who are patient and don't buy games until after they've read plenty of reviews don't accidentally buy bad games. I'll admit, this looks like it could be pretty fun, plus a great nostalgia trip.

However, it may be quite a while before we get to find out. The Ghostbusters game lost its publisher and has entered a state of hiatus. I don't think it will be lost forever, though. I'm sure it will be picked up again by another publisher and maybe come out in time for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie.

Last I heard it got picked up by Atari, and for whatever reason it's getting pushed back to 2010 (not 100% on that last part, though).
