We all know that we should ask columbia pictures to do ghostbusters 3. I have a feeling that they never made ghostbusters 3. So i wanna take this time to tell you guyd to tell columbia pictures to make ghostbusters 3. By the way, would you like to see a new cast for the movie, or the old cast?
Legacyhero and i are doing a Kid Intense/Hero Force crosover which will be a blast. Also, we are teaming up for a Kid Intense movie. Tell me what you think of the crossover and the movie we are teaming up.

Err, they ARE making a Ghostbusters 3....it's going to be all CGI as far as I know.
I really don't give a crap. It's a pointless sequel and I'm f%@#ing tired of sequels and remakes.

Yeah I heard that rumor too, but I haven't really seen anything that I'd call "definitive verification" So I'm not putting alot of faith in it.

I, for one, would be 100% behind another ghostbusters movie, if they did it right. You'd need all the original cast members, you'd need a solid script, preferably one NOT written by Dan Aykroyd (Dan can still be funny with proper direction, but I don't know if he can still do it on his own.) You'd need a decent budget, alot of things would have to come together that don't look very likely.

Of course 2 years ago I'd've said the same thing about a Die Hard 4.

They'd have to completely ignore Ghostbusters 2 (arguably one of the worst movies of the 1980s -- and that's saying a lot!), bribe Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver, find Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis and then have a really really good reason for them to reunite.

It could be done but yes, the writing would have to be tops!

Thems fighing words.

Dan Aykroyd is in the new adam sandler movie, he takes small parts all the time
Harold Ramis in a director, he just did three episodes of The Office
Ernie Hudson is on Desperate Housewives
Annie Potts is on Men in Trees

The only real "where are they now" is Rick Moranis

Rick Moranis [en.wikipedia.org] does a lot of stuff. Its stuff no on cares about, but still. He's around.

I read a treatment years ago (possibly three or four) for Ghost busters 3. It was set to star Chris Farly and a new team of ghost busters, listed in the outline as Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, and Steve Buscemi. It was actually funny and seemed like a reboot for the franchise that would've absolutely killed. Any chance of that movie happening didn't die with Farly though. Bill Murray just wouldn't consent to sign his rights to the franchise over because of his artistic integrity for a film about sucking ghosts into traps with magical nuclear guns and hacky one liner jokes that are often quoted. They came, he saw, he didn't sign his rights over. Dan even agreed with him saying he respected Bill Murray's choice not to allow the sequel to go on.

I read a rumor that the echto 1 just sitting on a backlot rotting somewhere. I'd almost choose it over the batmobile as far as prop cars are concerned.

I'd heard about a mini-series comic book released by Avatar or one of the smaller print comic publishers that sounded interesting. It was to take place between the first and second movie, and took some elements from the cartoon show.

Oh well.

There was some talk about a new Ghostbusters video game. See http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/755/755482p1.html for details.

according to that he still hasn't done anything in like 2 years, I do remember hearing about Agorophobic Cowboy though...

I actually rented a DVD of the Real Ghostbusters last weekend, it only had four episods and I totally expected them to suck. Like the only reason I liked to show was because I was a kid and it was the 80's. But I was surprised how good it was The animation was good for the time, and the writing was... well, it was pretty good actually, clearly a kids show, but once you accept that it was funny, venkman's one liners were pretty funny, and all the characters *felt* like the ghostbusters.

No need to fight. :) It's true, we can no longer claim ignorance -- wikipedia is here! It, Google and IMDB.com hold all the answers to our Hollywood questions.

Actually the only one I had to look up was Annie Potts.
