I'm actually looking forward to this. (So I'm in the minority. I don't care. :-P ) I have the Get Smart series and both movies (The Nude Bomb and Get Smart Again). It'll be weird without Don Adams, but I can't not go see it. It has the potential to give a bit of joy to an old fan or to thoroughly disappoint everyone. We'll see.

I think this has potential that very few television to movie adaptations do. The series was a hoot...Carell can do a heckova Don Adams and he's funny on his own if he decides not to. (I loved the 40 Year Old Virgin. ) I have yet to see a "The Rock" movie (although I noticed, he is going by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which I am happy about, since I think he is the best wrestler/actor we've been subjected to. ) that hasn't been entertaining. Anne Hathaway is just a cutie-pie and with Terrance Stamp and Alan Arkin as acting salt...It's got a lot goin' for it.

I thought Doom was entertaining. Not good. Entertaining. Yeah, you nailed me with the Scorpion King, but that wasn't his fault. You have to admit, he was alright...it was the movie that sucked.

I thought Doom was entertaining.
You're one of the few then. Everyone I know thought the movie had no redeeming qualities.
