I can. It's a typical forgettable Microsoft game commercial that doesn't show any gameplay footage and has an inappropriate song that gives the wrong impression of what the tone of the game is like.

That is called.....being creative with music. The reason it didn't match the visuals, was because they wanted it to be opposite of what you were seeing.....if it were your typical action music, it would have been forgotten quickly......the way it was presented, with The somber R.E.M type ballad, made everyone (but you....) say.....woh!! what did I just see? Not sure what it was, but it was awesome. Thats what I said....and.....like the second poster....is also why I bought a 360. exactly what Microsoft wanted.

You don't seem to be getting my point. The music DOES go with the visual. What it doesn't go with is the GAME. That is why it is inappropriate. The visuals don't represent the gameplay and the audio doesn't represent the kind of tone or story you will see in the game. It's pretty common practice in Microsoft advertising to mislead people.

As for the game itself, the first one wasn't good enough to warrant me purchasing the second one.

Maybe in like 3 years time when epic finally decides to port it over to PC, with the game for windows label slapped on for good measure

I have to get this! Gears of War is one of my favorite games evah! I mean it's 2 years old and I still play it all the time. I've never been able to say that about a game.

As soon as it comes out, everyone's going back online again, I just know it.
Even the occasional gamers that haven't been online in like months are gonna start showing up again to play this thing.

I liked the first one ok, but I'm beginning to hate this one because of their marketing campaign. Why are they taking themselves so seriously and ruining so many good songs by association? Leave "How It Ends" and "Mad World" alone for christ sakes! Both are haunting and beautiful works of art that don't deserve to be cobbled together with a piece of disposable fratboy entertainment.

I'm not buying it because of the factor of host bonus in GoW2 multiplayer. The one where the host can do more damage than the average player. I can't win against it. I despise it. It gets really annoying when one guy's shotgun makes me explode when mine just hurts him a little.

I must also mention the active reload sniper strategy. It shouldn't down you in one hit unless it hits you in the head, in which case, you die, and yet it still does it. Really annoying when people just reload the sniper, get an active and shoot you. I like playing games that aren't just sniper rifle based. NO ONE uses anything but the sniper or shotgun. No one.

I will be joining no one on Gears of War 2 multiplayer.

my friend is going to get it, and we're gong to be playing co-op.

I'm currently still playing rock band 2.

I just recently beat it (the day after the day it came out).
It took me like 9 or 10 hours or so (I was super-bored lol) but I was playing it in co-op mode with my younger brother..so I spent a lot of time reviving him.

I don't want to spoil anything but all I have to say is that the fish-like boss was a huge pain.

me and my friend spent like an hour on that boss, but this was like 4 in the morning. we decided to go to sleep.

woke up the next day and beat it the first try.

and chainsaw battle!

I finished it the other day. I liked it, (last boss was a joke though)

The only fault with it was the underground (I didn't like it in the first game, and in this game)

(oh and bot match is great!!)
