If you have a beautifully illustrated comic or graphic novel we will be able to attract an extremely large audience to you for FREE.

Essentially we are looking to partner with a few comic/graphic novel artists to create a spot the difference game using your existing artwork.

The game would both promote our site ( http://www.differencegames.com) and wherever you would like to direct people to read your comic.

Initially I only want to try it with rich full color artwork but down the road we might explore other formats (like B&W only).

The basic idea would be to take a small segment of your story (10-15 frames/pages) and turn it into a game. We then distribute the game freely across the web. My belief is that this will hook a large audience that will then come to your site to continue the story.

We have not released a comic format game yet but there are few in the final production stages now.

Here are two recent titles we have released:
Little Red Riding Hood (a post apocalyptic adventure)
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/507201
The game has been played 1.4M times (across the web) in the past 3 weeks.

ISIS
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/510625
The game has been played 700k times since Thursday (Sept 10th) attracting 70K new visitors to the authors website.

Looking forward to your thoughts,
DifferenceGames

I'd love to volunteer for this.
Sounds like a fun way to get noticed.

OH EM GEE that sounds like the coolest thing ever. Sign me up!

The Optimist!

I looked at the red riding hood one; I could make those minute kind of changes to panels of my comic, too!

although, PS, in the Isis game it says "To hard? Play easy version" while it should say "Too hard".

What do you get out of turning our comics into a game?? It sounds way too good to be true. My comic Greed over Need is black and white (for now??), but with only 10 pages the 2nd adventure is about to end. I'm thinking in the next week or so. Anyway i think it would be really cool to have it as a game.

I've had no response from them. I am fairly sure it is bogus.

Hey guys. Our benefit would be traffic to our site from the game (in addition to yours) and some minimal bits of advertising revenue.

Harkovast, I'm very sorry for not responding to you earlier. We have been producing a couple new titles that are taking up far more time then anticipated. Although they are turning out very nicely and have a new feature that is very well suited for comics to bring in dialog during the play.

To be perfectly honest we are looking for games with little different art style to begin with. Although once we have streamlined the process we may open it up to a larger selection of people.

We are doing a game with PalaceInTheSky now. If things go well we will definitely be looking to do more.

We have recently released two new games . These are original titles we created with our internal art team. I'd love to hear what you guys think of the dialog systems in the games.

Maverie - The Mad Scientist
http://differencegames.com/index.php?cmd=viewgame&gameid=32

and the companion game

Miki - The Space Police
http://differencegames.com/index.php?cmd=viewgame&gameid=33

Also, today we have released a title using existing comic artwork from the Ladystar series. It will be exclusive to our site for a few weeks while we watch the metrics and tweak the game. Once its fine tuned we will release it to the world and see how many new people we can expose to the LadyStar universe.

Thanks for your time. Please share any thoughts!

I've played some of the Difference Games titles in the past, and they are constructed quite well. I know some of my characters would work well in these types of games, but I'm not sure if my style is too simplistic for it.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

This is a really cool idea! I wish my comic had more pages though, I don`t think 6 will cut it for a game storyline. ;)

What kind of art style are you looking for?

I'm almost done with my first chapter in my comic, which WILL BE 15 PAGES EXACTLY once I put everything up.

Hey,

Currently we would be looking for something in the style of LadyStar (http://differencegames.com/index.php?cmd=viewgame&gameid=40) or the Mav & Miki game series.

Another way to look at it:
If you were to select one of your frame randomly and removed all the dialog. Would the image stand up well? Would it be rated well on a site like Deviant Art or Newgrounds?

That is kind of the base line starting point. Then the story and other pieces come into play. Also the number of frames could be less then 15. Ladystar for example is only 8 pages and it works pretty well.

The ladystar game is around 300K plays now. Sending about 10% of those people back to read more of the comic (10+ page views on average).

We just released another comic title:
Juathuur Gatecrash

I'll have one in due time but right now I don't think you could really do it with any of my comics or would want to.

I would be very interested in this. To be honest though, my comic is in black and white and is actually drawn by someone else, so not sure how it would work.
