I think there was a thread like this before, but it's dead and I don't want to necropost.

So I was playing Oblivion, as I have been doing almost nonstop for the last month, and I saw this dark elf in Skingrad.

I'm talking to her, and she asks me a question. It went like this:

"Any idea what the fine for necrophilia is here?"

I had the option of saying:

"Umm.. what?"

"No idea." or...

"Is it a first offence?"

I chose the third one. Her response was:

"Let's assume 'no'."

My character responded:

"Then it's at least 500 gold."

She said:

"Oh! That's much less than in Morrowind!"

Needless to say, I lol'd. I lol'd hard.

I haven't posted after the first page in a long time. I used to though, I remember it. We're talking about the present though.

There's an interactive text-based adventure game called Beyond Zork. Unlike most text adventure games, it incorporated RPG features including a stat called intelligence. If you cursed at the narrator, he'd get mad and lower your intelligence until you turned into a retard.

In Lifeline, this obscure survival horror that fully utilized the headset, saying "Bark like a dog" makes the main character go "A little dog? "ruff ruff" Or a big dog "Woof!"

Everyone who grew up playing Duke3D should know about the Doom marine found in a corridor followed by Duke's one-liner "That is one DOOMED Space Marine!"

There's tons more I know but I have to think. I'll post them in a bit.
