In the original movie they were really animated, they streched like rubber to dance Tex Avery style. In this one they're so static and crappy.

...There was a certain limit to how far they could take the chipmunks, and this is really... crossing the line. XD;

And yeah, they were more little-kid sized rather then chipmunk sized. This is definately one of those movies that you wait for a younger relative to recieve and then watch to see how it is...

Not much of an Alvin and the Chipmunk fan myself, some of the songs made me laugh because they're high pitched. x3

I notice a lot of the American cartoons are all flash animated style... edgy character designs with thick outlines. I would definitely love to see more of American animation in more... artistically animated style, where you can actually see the character's expressive motion in their figure movements and expressions.
