First webcomic you ever read?

The first webcomic I was officially made aware of was the one belonging to my friend Noel, who directed me to DD after telling me I should put my 3 years worth of (badly drawn!)CTV comics online. So Suicideology was the first webcomic I read, and she was my first commenter as well. Previously I had a bit of an aversion to the internet, so I was unaware that such goodness existed on the web.

After I joined DD (my first visit was just a peek at the interface) I can't recall which one I clicked on first, but also among the first comics I read (all on Drunk Duck of course) were:
PO Bocks, REAL Men Wear Lipstick, Yenny, Alone In The Middleages, Number 85, Elijah and Azuu, Suicideology, MERCY A Noir Story, Cosmic Spasm, Earthbound, Reality, Sins, UNA Frontiers, 3rd Party Fantasy, Defiant, Vampire Phantasm, Frightmoore University, The Ballad Maker, and MUTE.
(I had to reference my old personal portal because some of those comics are gone now.)
I swear, once I get a fast connection to the 'net, I will catch up on all the archives I'm missing out on...it takes me 3 minutes to load any comic's page currently.

I've been trying to remember for days and with my wife's help, I finally did! This was mid-to-late-1990's stuff.

Imanewbie - based on Ultima Online, it was like a Sims version of the game, with tailored dialogue and crafted scenarios that were pretty hilarious.

Wonder what happened to that comic? It was blacktastic.

It ended.

You can always buy the cd with all the old ones on it.

I know I said residence life, but I just realized

Back when I was in highschool in the late 90's I read a comic that was on like geocities or angelfire or one of those free webhosting sites, it only had about 15 strips and I don't really remember much about it

I think it was called Marshweed

I'm not sure what the first webcomic was...

It may very well have been DM of the Rings http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?cat=14

It is a beautiful comic, and if it wasn't my first webcomic, then it really should have been!

I don't remember. I think it was Adventurers, and the only reason I saw it was because I was home sick and browsing the web 'cause I had nothing better to do.

We-ell... My brother got me into Penny Arcade , and it's been steadily downhill from there. XD

Seriously, though. I can't quite remember which was my first webcomic, but I can clearly remember reading Penny Arcade for the first time, and that was yonks ago, so...
The Continued Misadventures of Bonebird - a poor bird's quest for the ever-elusive and delicious apples.

RPG WORLD was the first webcomic that I've read and I loved it.

Sadly, the maker isn't updating as it used to be and it is in the last phases of the story.

First DD was Kemikal Warfare by Basil

Enjoy... Las Vegas-y

I think the first web comics I ever read were the "DotComics" that Marvel was posting on their site for a while.

Other then that, it must have been Penny-Arcade several years ago. then I was linked over to AppleGeeks, in one of Tycho's exceedingly wordy posts; and from apple geeks I was Linked over to Mac-Hall. Those are still my favorite webcomics, even though Ian and Matt have moved on to three panel soul.

I think the first webcomic I ever read was some Pokemon sprite comic, which eventually got me interested into sprites and such. After I got over that phase I started free drawing in paint. I dunno, I just hated getting constantly bashed on 'recoloring' and 'bitmixing' and whatnot.

"Girls With Slingshots", by Danielle Corsetto. She lives near me, and she's awfully nice (if I ask her for advice, she gives it to me and then some), so I've been reading her comic faithfully.

heheh well my first one was Turbo Trak from the one friend of mine that brought me to the duck. Too bad he never re-uploaded his archive after the meltdown :(

These were my first webcomics:

So Fantastic Pork Show 9oCLOCK

Puppetry (the first ones were really weird, they aren't online anymore)

and GBCInc or something like that, but I can't find that one

all of these were top 20 back in 2004
