well, remember: if we don't get enough people for tag team, we might not even do it.
besides, if you really want to go solo, and we decide on tag team but do not have enough for everyone to have a partner, then you can solo it if you want.
It's just that you'll then hae to do twice as many pages.
(also, aeon, I noticed youy missed the signup for last fightsplosion too, so if we don't tag-team I'll try to ask one of the people who already did fightsplosion once to let you take their place, since you never got a chance to enjoy FS.)

Well, if we're gonna go that can I enter my other character as my partner?
no. no you may not.
the partners are other DD users who want in fightsplosion, atom apple.
nice try, though. :P

So we just randomly choose or we pick a partner? Also, do you win by teams or by individual fighters?

Well it would be randomly assigned partners (ill let you know beforehand, so if you really dont like a particular person, you dont have to be their teammate.
the voting is by teams.
aaand this hardly matters at all if we dont get enough people to have a team fightsplosion to begin with!

I think this "tag-team" idea is a good idea, but I do have some concerns. (Sorry to be the wet blanket...) AQua_ng came up with quite the interesting outline there, but don't you think it'd be a lot to orchestrate? I mean, there was enough trouble and confusion with the one on one matches, wouldn't a two on two match create more complications? Yes, they would be a longer read for the audience, and it would be interesting to see how they turn out, but let's consider the difficulty here people! Getting one contestant to meet their deadline was hard enough in Fightsplosion one, two contestants will be even harder, will it not? Plus therer could be some issues between partners, some heated friction between teams and a whole crapload of other messy occurences.
So sorry to AQua_ng, but I don't think the idea will work out. That's just me though... feel free to completely neglect my point of view and carry on as normal. I guess my leaving words are... "think of the complications..."

Yay, my name's in bold! In my defence, the team battle was idea'd up to avoid deadlines. I'm not sure how there would be friction between the two competitors. I mean, people have to vote for a team, so both need to look good, instead of making each other appear as a joke. Unless they want to. They can discuss that by PQ'ing. All the confusion should be solved with the official Fightplosion! support is implemented.
Gosh, may name's been bolded a lot in this thread. And if the team battle thing goes on, then by all means, thank me. Give all your love to AQua...

Nnng, I'm sorry too, I didn't want to be a wet blanket either but I kinda have concerns about the tag team too. My only concern, besides the complications that Beamus stated, is that having a partner is kinda limiting people's creativity. With singles all the artist has to think about is how their character and their opponent's character are going to react to each other. Now the artist have to think about how their character plus 3 other characters are going to react to one another, which can lead to a lot of work. It's hard being creative for just 2 people and now we have to think of how 4 people are going to act which is double the work. Plus it will be hard to be equal to each character, for example the artist has their character face off against an opponent while they draw their partner and the opponent's partner standing there getting ready for a showdown or something. I dunno if you got my example, but it'll be hard to give 4 characters equal fighting time and it just feels like it'll lead to a drop in action quality and it just seems very limiting in certain ways. I'm not saying that I wouldn't do it, I don't mind tag teaming, I just wanted to bring up some concerns I was having. Hope I didn't offend anyone. :(

But if we could pull it off, wouldn't it be so awesome?
It's hard to say, maybe it would be awesome, but I keep thinking of situations where it just flops and partners drop out and someone ends up doing double the work.

Round one could consist of Tag Team battles. Then the Eight fighters left fight in one on one matches for the rest of the tourney.

personally I see the tag-team match as a way to let one's creative ideas really kick it out, but if everyone is set against it, we can just do a normal FS again.

I now say that the team battles should be done in the semi-finals, with a completley different character (e.g. one that didn't make it to the sign ups or one that has been knocked out).
...yeah. Obey me, I'm a freakin' fork nazi.

It could be fun, and it could give the people who didn't make it in a chance to strut their stuff at least once!

Would you mind breaking it down for the slow kids?
In semi final fights, any characters that missed the Fightsplotion sign up get
randomly teamed with who ever hasn't been disqualified? So like two matches are
left and those characters get paired up right? so four characters get teamed with
four more characters. Is that about right?
Sorry I’m kinda dopey.

I agree with that, I like the idea of only doing the first round tag team and then the rest singles. And if we get matched up beforehand we can talk with our partner and practise.

Alright then, Aqua.
Just delete that new picture, and use the handy-dandy "edit" feature to replace your old sign-up.
this way it limits the confusion for me :D

Hm... I want to try this... still room for me?
Anyhow, here's Zoe Perks :)
Name: Zoe Perks
Age: 24
Height: 160 cm (I'm sorry, I'm no good converting centimeters)
Nationality: Um... Probably European... or something... yeah.
Lives: In a caravan outside town at a shanty settlement type.
Personality: Volatile, forward, inquisitive- the all around geek but without being pious or meek. Not at all.
Powers: Before her days of infection, Zoe had been in the kendo team (her dad had introduced her to martial arts so she could um, vent safely). She also used to brawl at school a lot (David was afraid of her when they were around 9 years old). She can do a lot of damage with anything she holds and if necessary, her bare arms. She is currently armed with a scythe- the edge on the outside is blunt as she uses it more for control than maiming.
She is infected with the Lycanthropy virus, so that gives her enormous endurance, heightened eyesight and hearing. It also amplifies her fighting capacity a lot. (it also may give her the tendency to bite/tear at chaps, though).
Power ups: Anger, fear, need to protect or be protected. If she's thrown into a full blown frenzy, she won't feel pain until very later.
Bio: A regular girl, only child to her parents, she grew up to be interested in the sciences. She became a biologist specialising in viri and contagious deseases, but she did not get to finish that Ph.D. because she was infected with the Lycanthropy virus and was chucked out of the city.
