The Whiteboard http://www.the-whiteboard.com/ . The artist is a paintball airsmith living in Alaska and he writes about a polar bear that is a paintball airsmith living in Alaska. There is a strange and unpredictable cast of characters. Hilarity ensues.

Ugly Hill http://www.uglyhill.com/index.html . All the residents of the town of Ugly Hill are themselves ugly looking monsters that are otherwise just like you and me. They have jobs and hobbies and adventures and are pretty much crazy. Okay, perhaps more like me than you.

Girl Genius http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php . Is Agatha or is she not the Heterodyne heir to both vast power and great inventive madness? Well she must be, but she cannot be.

I've listed these three because they are all three my top non-DD favorites and I would be really hard pressed to pick one over the other.

I'm sure I've seen that style before from Girl Genius... I just can't place it. Now that's gonna bug me... but I swear I've seen in professional print comics, and Foglio sounds so familiar...

Anyhow, my pick is www.drmcninja.com. It's pure awesome -- nothing added, nothing taken away.

It's brand new, but I'm very impressed by The Holiday Men , which just debuted on The Chemistry Set. Andrew Foley (Cowboys and Aliens, Parting Ways) and Nick Johnson (The Art of Dodging Shadows) team up to deliver the tale of The Holiday Men, a group of holiday icons who have rebelled against their creators at O'Mega Mart, everybody's favourite evil corporation. It probably helps that both of them are great guys (although Foley will argue otherwise with you :p).

It has a very limited appeal, I guess, but I love writing for it!

When She Was Bad on Smackjeeves: http://www.smackjeeves.com/comicprofile.php?id=12859

The art isn't the best, but it's got a fairly original plotline for a manga story.

As I said before...I'm a big fan of http://www.leasticoulddo.com/
But I'm also found of

Breath-It's an incredibly well draw comic with lovable characters.

http://breath.se/

It's all in how you take this one. It constantly rails against sheep like people, but many of the main characters seem more obsessed with their image then anything. That aside it's still and fun comic that you will get some good laughs from.

I love SOMETHING POSITIVE, (already mentioned) but I also like QUESTIONABLE CONTENT at http://www.somethingpositive.net [somethingpositive.net]. For the rest, my links page is instructive.---Al
Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com ---think the superhero genre is mined out?

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Think again.

The Dreamwalker Chronicles is full of awesome and win. Awesome art and the story is so very cool. About a boy and his imaginary friend and adventures in "a supernatural world filled with strange creatures and spirits from the Native American legends."
