4. Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)
5. Ninetails (Okami)
6. Oogie Boogie (Kingdom Hearts)
7. Clockwerk (Sly Cooper)

9. Solidus Snake (Metal Gear Solid 2)

Zant from Twilight Princess was just weird. The guy was a total psycho! And Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts II was awesome, a lot of fun.

Besides that, I can't really think of any at the moment.

Typo, they're from MGS3.

1. Bowser from Super Mario Bros. - You spend hours just to get up to him, and then 1 chance is all you'll ever get.

2. Red Devil/ Firebrand from Ghosts N' Goblins - Bastard should be a boss...

3. Liquid Snake from MGS1 - All encounters with him. The entire experience is just so cinematic.

4. Zankuro Minazuki from Samurai Shodown 3 - Despite the shortcomings of the game engine itself, its artwork and atmosphere was unparalleled. This final boss fight is the most intense swordfight-vs-boss I know of, despite the complete lack of heavy metal music or busy explosion-filled backgrounds.

5. Orochi of King of Fighters 97 - The most epic multi-fighting-game story arc from SNK comes to a close with KOF 97. Both Kyo and Iori should have died right here. Or at least Iori should have.

6. Count Dracula from Castlevania 1 - My very first childhood experience with a transforming "multi-stage" boss. Nearly peed my pants.

- Green Eye (Lost Planet)

- every boss in Einhander (for the playstation. Old side-scrolling shooter. Absolutely insane difficulty sometimes.)

- Frank Horrigan (Fallout 2)

- Lu Bu (Dynasty Warriors series)

I liked all encounters with Liquid Snake, that bitch just wouldn't die!

And the final boss in either Onimusha 2 when he's flying. Or was that Onimusha? Meh.

The Paper Mario (GC) boss fights were fun.

And Resident Evil 4. I heart it so.

BUT THE ONE BOSS I HATED THE MOST!!! That last fight in True Crimes. Termy knows what I'm talking about... that guy pissed me off so much!!!

beating sephoroph at lv 65 in kindom hearst 2 always gets my blood going.

also when i was a kid (and sucked a lot more) there was this weird game where you where a mouse knight and had to kill this pig army and near the end there is this "dark" mouse night that you have to fight. (i think it was on the sega but for the life of me i cant remember the name. it could have been nintendo im not totaly sure)

also eggman from sonic the hedgehog 3 was pretty tugh.

and any rpg where you can go back and MURDER an early boss in like 1 hit is fun when you board.

and last the FF final bosses are almost always fun (just cause of graphics and stuff like that)

Every boss fight in Skies of Arcadia where there was a ship-vs-ship or ship-vs-EVA battle.

I loved the battles in that game where you used your ship. It's always so epic.

The most disapointing boss fight ever was Walter from Silent Hill 4: The Room. That was just so lame and anti climatic. And the 'bad ending' was more interesting than the true 'good +' or w/e...*grumble grumble* He's my most favourite character ever ^^'

Not according to some of the people in the "hardest games ever" thread. Anyway, this isn't about what games had the "hardest" boss fights, but the ones that the players' enjoyed the most.

For me, I really got a kick out of the Mysterio fight in the Spider-Man 2 game.

I would have to go with fighting stormy knight from Ragnarok, that is worth many, MANY lulz and also it sucks because he is WAAAY to over powered and you need a party of no less then like... 15 people and like 5 to 8 of them MUST be priest :( :cat:

Mother Brain - Super Metroid.

You get super lasered to holy hell, and then the larva totally comes in to kick ass.

i also liked the superhard Lavos you fought in Chrono Trigger...right as Zeal was supposed to get destroyed...and i remember actually beating the holy hell out of it (after burning through like, 30 something Megalixers...thanks New Game +!), hoping to get an awesome ending...and getting the stupid Nu/Credits one.

Crash Bandicoot bosses were pretty kk.

Phoenix Magnion - Megaman Zero 2
Red - Pokemon Gold and Silver (His Pikachu fried my level 60-something T-Tar once!)

I liked Dr. Nefarious from Ratchet and Clank 3, Sigma from Maverick Hunter X, Xemnas from Kingdom Hearts 2, and Freebird from Guitar Hero 2.

Also Crash Bandicoot was awesome, though I perferred Spyro. Gnasty was a rip-off, though, since you had to chase a thief.

Sniper Wolf in MGS. She's got some balls for a chick, plus her death is soo sad...then again Psycho Mantis comes a close second with the whole reading your mind thing.

Ansem in KH1. That was all nice and epic. Plus the ending kinda made me cry.

Bowser in Super Mario World. That was one of the most awesome boss BGMs in the evar!

Ultimate Rugal/Shin Akuma in Capcom vs. SNK 2. Despite suffering from a severe case of SNK boss syndrome, those two had such funny skin colors that I almost didn't care.

Elite Beat Agent's 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' in Hard Rock mode. I have yet to beat that song. Still it is pretty fun once you get going.

Maxx Unlimited from DDR Max 2. I like the song and it makes me feel good to finally pass it without feeling like I'm full of fail.

Fascination -eternal love mix- from DDR SUPERNOVA. I just really like the song and the steps are fun.
