I'm looking forward to the new Fatal Frame game for the Wii. It's the fourth game of the series and I think it'll be pretty fun and pretty freaky.
I've actually only played the first one and I haven't even beaten it yet (it's so hard!). I've had a lot of fun playing it, though. And playing with an ominous ambience, at the middle of the night with all of the lights off, makes the game so much more fun.
Is anyone else looking forward to the newest game? Also, has anyone else played any of the other games and did you like them or hate them? How do they compare to the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games? Is this a terribly made thread? Do you even like horror games?
And please, post no spoilers unless you surround them with a spoiler tag! D:<

I can play the silent hill and resident evil games without getting too scared, but the Fatal Frame games scare the pants off me and I've never even gotten halfway through one of them.

I've never played any of the games myslf*, but I've enjoyed looking at them as they were played. The atmosphere is delightfully creepy and the odd camera-angles likewise.
Personally I'm not a big fan of this genre, but the Fatal Frame/Project Zero games are exeptions as I adore the way the story is told. And they are surprisingly entertaining to watch. The initial scaryness seemed a bit less so in the second and third game, but that could be because of some changes made to the gameplay. I don't know, maybe it's just me, and they're still very enjoyable.
I'll be sure to mention there's a new one coing to the people I know who actually play the game.
*I was the one who solved all puzzles along the way, but that was all I ever did.

I've been waiting too long for Hollywood to provide me a decent scary movie. Maybe I need to turn to gaming instead and try out some of these games I never tried.

Siren was also pretty scary, but more in the "it's so difficult you're afraid of messing up" more than "you're afraid of the enemies/atmosphere"
