I did watch a Dvd with "Scooby doo meets Batman". I was facepalming al the time while watching it. Both villains and heroes were dumber than a sack with dirty.
Joker and Penguin... sad and not so murderous. just having dumb plans and costumes that just doesn't fit to their characters.

If so, that's a sort of awfulness that I can still enjoy. There are some TV shows where you have to turn your brain off to enjoy it, and even forgive certain problems because they're so old.

Scooby Doo has a history that would make you facepalm. They tried every trick in the book to keep people watching. Adding Scrappy Doo, Flim-flam, Scooby's cousin, ditching Fred Daphne and Velma, guest stars, musical numbers, laugh tracks, and Don Knotts. The show has even been reborn several times.

But to be honest, I like its newest incarnation, Mystery Inc. It's aimed at the college crowd, has a better sense of style, and is a little bit self-aware.

I think the worst thing I've ever seen was an old episode of the Herculoids. For some reasont he production crew decided to be extra lazy with this episode and threw in a generic laugh track. The problem is that the laugh track would chime in randomly with no rhyme or reason behind it. Chase scene, suddenly out of the blue, laughing. Exposition? One again, laugh track. And it was always the same one. For a while I started thinking they were trying to use it as some sort of sound effect, but even that made no sense. It was only made worse by the horrible writing and dialog that was typical of HB cartoons of the time. The whole thing just seemed like an homage to how crap the HB production staff and editors could be back in the day.

Having grown up with old Warner Brothers cartoons (used to be played non-stop here in Aus), Tom and Jerry, Heckle and Jeckle, Mighty-Mouse, Felix etc and then going to Hanna Barbera cartoons was a bit of a shock- so many repetitive animation loops used over and over and over and the colours degraded so awfully over time.

I've never seen Disney's Jungle Book so Kipling wasn't even ruined for me and neither was Disney's Robin Hood either as it turns out. Haha! Thanks for the tip on that!

I just like how you can easily pick out which characters Don Bluth worked on in Rescuers and Robin Hood. Rescuers Down Under may have been more colorful, but it wasn't as well animated.

Chuck Jones did some adaptations based on stories from the Jungle Books. Mowgli's Brothers was among them, which is pretty much the only part of the story the Disney movie draws from. The Jones version is probably the closest adaptation to the book, though.

Chuck Jones produced Rikki-tikki-tavi in 1975 with Orson Welles narrating and supplying some of the voices. There was a Russian cartoon previous to that I've also seen.

As far as the most awful TV series with Marvel Super Heroes that would be series The Marvel Super Heroes series from 1966 where the limited animation was xerography and tracings of the original comics. But at least it featured original Silver Age Art. It made the later HB xerography look like Akira.

If it is that one. then you got my sympathy. Well the 90 ones.. were horrible bad. Dr. Doom did smile with his mask when Sue secuded him.(the invisible woman). and again Sue was cast to the weakest member. when in comics she is pretty much the most powerful of the four. Oh well. people behind the cartoon must have watch the 60s one in a weed fog and decided to build it from there.

The one without the human torch was the one from the 70's.
