I quite like extinction, the art is very clean and the story while a little heavy handed seems to come along well.

I have been thinking about this story since reading it and it has occurred to me what was wrong with it. I called it heavy handed in reference to it's message. which it is a little but I think that if the setting was less real or a completely different world, sort of like final fantasy, then it may work better.
To explain it better, as it is the setting is very real world, near future sci fi stuff. All well and good with hard sci fi but the concept revolves around a very gaia like concept but it seems a bit too far fetched for the setting. Taking it all away from reality and directly talking of neocons and the like would make it easier to suspend disbelief.

I do not mean to sound too critical as what has been done so far has been very effective and I look forward to seeing how it pans out, as it is early on in the story I really do recommend people check it out.
