I asked if comics could ever get deleted.
It started out harmless enough with people telling me about how you used to get deleted if you didn't update but it went wrong and deleted everything (like sky-net for comics).
Then people explained how you could get deleted for being offensive.
Then people started giving examples of what would get you deleted and explained their ideas for new deletable comics full of unspeakable naughtiness.
And then the topic got locked.
It all started as an innocent question though!

Harky, if you'd ever been to the TD, THEN you'd have seen some thread lockage. We locked our own threads there. It was perverse :(

Yes, I got a topic locked when I posted a video of a soldier throwing a puppy off a cliff.

And there was that one that got deleted, and then got me banned...

I've only had a thread of mine on a forum closed once. But then, I got temporarily banned from that certain forum twice. Hurr.

I have. I posted a couple of repeat threads that have been locked.

okay, yeah, I've had topics locked before, but not in this forum. apparently I "bumped" a topic that was too old once, so it was locked.

I can understand necroposting is bad, but the thing is, the topic had only idled for a week, the forum was very active anyway, and I actually posted relevant information to the topic.

When I posted a discussion thread in another forum on whether or not Jesus Christ is just a copycat of Horus or not. I wasn't really picking a side. I was just asking a question and being neutral.

After about 3 pages, it became a flame war between the hardcore atheists and christians. lol!

I got one,but it was just because the topic was already made. :p

Yes, back in TD I had a few of my threads get locked.

... Sometimes it was for the best.

I can't... Well I can when the topic is really really old and irrelevant- then it's better to start a new one on the same subject.

But sometimes people are just being dicks because it's an old topic.

it was also kinda funny because it was a forum I had frequented years ago, but became lazy and dropped off the map...so I decided to return.
