So, in this DS game you play as a huge gap-toothed pineapple (your mentor is a huge pink bearded pineapple) who is trying to protect the forest from the non-conserving kingdom next door. Your helpers are rather stupid pink squirrels with the unfortunate name of Ecolis (although siccing e. colis on your enemies isn't a bad idea, these guys are robots). I think later on you get blue flying squirrels and yellow beaver squirrels.

It's a tactical game where you build miniature armies of continually regenerating squirrels and beat up robots to protect various kinds of trees. If you feel you can risk it, you can take some of your squirrel troops away from the battle to perform druidic dancing rituals around seedlings to help grow new trees. Also the pineapple learns some magic spells, although he's apparently incapable of smacking robots around with his huge hamfists, and has less life than an average Ecolis. Thankfully he can die as many times as you want.

It seems interesting enough, but I started playing it two days ago and I can't figure out the flippin' menus. Everything is pictorial which is difficult when they don't actually explain what the pictorials represent. You can click on a question mark icon for a bit of help about the section you're in, but the explanations are usually not complete, or refer to a menu page you don't know what it is because the help uses text and the menus use pictures. I have the fightin' gameplay down, but I can't seem to figure out how to add squirrels into my fighting group. The game also tells me I can have 3 teams in a battle, but I can only manipulate one 'platform' on my teams page.

All I want is a huge pink squirrel army to send swarming over the landscape at my robot foes, why is that so hard? :(
